Used to go there in the mid to late 1980s with my Dad. Used to be a great pub and with free parking, had nice pub lunch menus and was cheap. You can imagine the noise some aircraft used to make during those years, so quiet today.
If i were flying somewhere hot from Manchester I would hit that bar with the missus the weekend before for a few beers & cocktails to get us in the mood Perfect set up for excitement

Blimey where were you able to park within 2 miles of the airport without getting clamped or ripped off.
Only 10 min walk in. Dunno, but was country lane and a nice walk in. That car park on weekends is a joke!
