    I loved going to re-enactments. Now that I’ve moved into the historic home of a Confederate Soldier it’s made me want to get into reenacting even more. I’ve always loved wearing historical clothing and telling the history of it seems like a lot of fun.

      Oh wow that is really interesting! I love visiting historic homes. They all have such stories to tell. If just those walls could talk!

      @@HistoricalBelle The house was built in 1875 and was in the same family for 8 generations before my family bought it. Almost everything is original even down to the wallpaper. We’re in the middle of restoration and I’m getting the history together to give tours. It’s only here because of the railroad from Charleston S.C. to Augusta, G.A.

    I love your comment about the antiques. I feel the same way. My room is littered with antique pieces I actually use!

    I find myself rewatching this video often over the past few years while looking for more videos of civilian inperticular or women packing for an event. I personally dont have a tent yet but get to participate in the Fort Gains events which is nice because i can sleep on the rope beds they have there. But do wish there can be more indepth of how others pack for their events.

      I'm glad that this video has been helpful to you. I've heard of the event at Fort Gains, it looks like a really great event. I hope you have a great time!

    Ooh so interesting! You mentioned your mum has clothes stored in the tent too - does she reenact with you? Would you consider doing a video about how you got into the reenactment scene?

      She does reenact with me, and that is a great idea for a video! I'll have to add that one to the list. Thank you!

    Wonderful overview of your comfortable camp. My only complaint is that for a Soldier this is far too comfortable and would cause us to sleep past first call at 5am.... just kidding of course .. *LIKED* the video, please keep them coming. --LT

      Thank you! And haha yes I do think civilians get to have a more comfortable camp. Thank you for watching!

    lovely video! I am really enjoying your content, you will have more and more subscribers as time goes on! Could you do a video about how you get all that stuff to the location? Where do you park the wagon? lol

      Thank you so much! I really appreciate the encouragement! That is a great video idea! Next time I go to a big reenactment I will have to document that process. Thank you again!

    Where did you get your bed? Also at the larger reenactments do the women all stay in a civilian camp outside of the military camps?

    • @HistoricalBelle
      @HistoricalBelle  5 років тому +3

      I got my rope bed second hand from another reenactor. It really depends on the reenactment as to where civilians stay. Some ladies stay in the camps while others stay in civilian towns if they are offered. It depends on their impression and preference.

      @@Sergei_Krankov Lol, asking the real questions here, I think they're just broadly covering the mid-1800s time period

    You are as pretty as a picture but I have a and I'm sure you're married or dating or something like that big question I'm an old-fashioned man extremely into historical life that way that that way of living where can a man who enjoys what you enjoy you know for lack of a better term lifestyle wear 10 men like me find courtship because in society as it is now it's at least for me courtship is not going to happen in my century
