- What's up everyone! Today we test out DYC's Dip Dissolver to remove the 3.5 year old plastidip on the Subaru Impreza. Its currently not very "peelable" since the dip is old, thin, faded, and was applied over top of primer.

People should be careful not to let this drain into a freshwater drain. Those chemicals run right into local river and water systems.
Shut up
It looks great man good work!
Wow didnt expect it to work that well
Good job man
Great video.
Nice car.
Thanks!
Is the paint damaged? My car is nice under the bad hin plastic dip the prior owner did. Black over red. Doing by hand is a nightmare but I don't want to strip the clearcoat.
The paint on this car was already rough. The only area that was “damaged” was the clear on the hood, but it was chipped/flaking before the dip. Any of the areas that had good paint, like the door jambs stayed intact. Any of the staining that occurred faded away after letting the car sit out in the sun. Other than that, Dip dissolver works great.
Did it damage the paint ?
No, the paint was already bad to begin with. Any of the staining from the red dip on the white paint went away after a few days in the sun.
