Thank you Toby for doing these great podcast episodes. I've just come across your YT channel and enjoyed watching the interviews in my free time. You really know your stuff and your interview is so gentle. It's obvious you've put lot's of time and energy to pick out the guests. These episodes definitely help expats to know Japan better and deeper.
I just wanted to point out something your guest Jon mentioned about lran. I'm lranian and just last week renounced my nationality in order to get my Japanese citizenship. The process couldn't be smoother and the result came back on time. I was expecting delays because of all that's happening in the middle east but to my surprise l got my letter just when l was told l would do so.
I would like to know why Jon had that impression about lran and l would appreciate it if you could pass on this fact to him. I know it could be hard to be informed on the political rights of every single nation in the world.
I am looking forward to watching your past and future episodes. 😊 keep up the excellent work 👏

法務局 is Bureau of Legal Affairs

I suppose it is. I struggle to put English names to Japanese official structures. To me it is the 法務局. And that’s what you’ll need to google to find the office nearest you. Anyway, that’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it.
