I didn't know these birds existed. Nature's a wonderful thing. It feels good knowing there's a bird exists that feeds on yellow jackets and giant hornets
A hornets defense against this bird has nothing to do with violence. They employ stealthy locations for their nests to avoid this bird and an all-out attack seems futile! This is so interesting learning about this predator considering the amount of hornet videos there are that never mention it!
There must be different types of honey buzzards as I've seen other ones where the armor like feathers seem more numerous and compacted together, making for a tighter fit, particularly around the neck and head area.
Very educational. This is my first time learning about this bird.
Same for me
Even the wasps/hornets know their nest is done for and abandon it after the buzzard’s first attack.
What a beautiful documentary! Thank you for adding English subtitles!
Damn this doc deserves more views and appreciation🙌

Nice, but don't most documentaries take at least a year, if not more?
This is pretty average.

How do the baby birds get water/ hydration if they are in the nest all day?
Baby birds get their water indirectly from the food fed to them by their parents.

Thnx
How come the wasps don't attack the eyes of the bird? it's the weakest point!
They can't, the european honey buzzard is much more intelligent.
It has a special eye lid to protect their eyes. The body excrete chemical to deter the warps or bees to attack them .
Got an armed eyelid
Can that bird defeat Japanese hornets
All they have to do is sting the bird in the eye.
The bird would bite them first before they reach the eye tho
U support the damn wasp????
