Been to all ten stadiums (every time to watch soccer, except for the Schalke Arena, which I only visited for a Rammstein concert)
Most of the stadiums are owned by their respective club, so you will rarely see other events taking place there.
Notable exceptions are the Schalke Arena (Veltins-ARENA), and both Olympic stadium.
Schalke uses the money to finance the stadium and get some extra cash and the olypic stadiums are owned by their respective city, therefore a variety of events take place in these stadiums (concerts and athletic competitions are probably the main events, but you can simply rent these stadiums to host any event you like to).
Hockey is kinda big in Germany, there is a yearly event ("DEL winter game") which is mostly taking place in a soccer stadium b/c it can easily attract a crowd of 50.000. But even normal games can attract >10.000 people easily. However soccer overshadowes every other sports, so no real other sport is really big (hockey and handball *might* be the only two exceptions).
And last, I loved the Olympics stadium in Berlin. Its a special feeling if you walk up this stadium with all its history, good and bad. Moreover, if the sun sets between the roof and the standings, its just an impressive look.
I also really liked Stuttgarts Mercedes-Benz-Arena because the stairs are so flat that it just makes this huge impression.
The Allianz Arena in Munich is also spectacular as it is the biggest stadium in germany (not capacitywise, but in every other aspect).
But every of these stadiums is spectacular in its own right, just gladbach is really boring imo haha
Little funfact: Because standing places aren't allowed in international soccer games Dortmunds capacity shrinks to just under 66.000 while Munichs capacity just drops to 70.000 (because they have to install seats in their standing sections and Dortmund has an insanly huge standig section, the yellow wall, with over 25000 people in it)

Die Veltins Arena gehört Schalke, der Verein hat sie vor ein paar Jahren erst abbezahlt.

Hey guys!! The Mercedes-Benz-Arena in Stuttgart is my home town stadium, basically my "living room".
It´s directly on the opposite site of the Mercedes Benz HQ.
The Signal-Iduna-Arena (Westfalen-Stadion) in Dortmund is one of the loudest stadiums in Germany, there is always party.
Besides soccer or fussball in german, they are also used for concerts or other sports like racing or track and field events (for Olympia back in the days).
Other sports that´s huge in Germany, besides soccer,is ice-hockey,handball and basketball.depending on the city and region. In my region we have VfB Stuttgart (soccer), MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg (basketball), SG BBM Bietigheim (Handball women and men) and Bietigheim Steelers (ice-hockey).All 4 plays in the 1st Bundesliga the highest league (Handball men in the 2nd league).

A few facts to.orrect: the years in which the stadiums were built, of course, partially correct, but this relates to the original stadium, the stadiums were often renovated or rebuilt in the same place. That's why there is one from 1925 but was renovated sometime ten years ago. That's why it's not really from 1925.
And secondly, the Allianz Arena should definitely have been shown illuminated, because that's the highlight of this stadium, namely that it has a roof outside that can reflect all the colors of the world and also lettering .

A few of these stadiums will also be used for other events like concerts, motorsports or track and field event's, for example the Allianz Arena in Munich is only for soccer games, the Olympic stadium in Munich can be used for other events, both were in the video.
The most of these stadiums were built for the soccer world cup in 2006 and others, the more older ones became a renovation and seats for more people.
At the Arena auf Schalke, they played a game at ice hockey 🏒 world cup and in Frankfurt a game of Handball, the handball European championship in 2024 the first game will take place in the Dusseldorf Arena.

I went to the Volksparkstadion to see Hamburg vs Schalke back in 2016 the atmosphere there when it’s full of fans is insane. Best stadium for the best club

Btw I've been to all of these stadiums as a Hamburg fan I think our Volkspark is the best and the Olympiastadion is the worst of the lot cause it's just a massive bowl type athletics stadium where youre far away from the pitch with a home team that cant really fill it, so atmosphere wise its usually dull

The Olympiastadion (number 3) is the stadion from my favourite team it's really cool in this stadion especially during a sunset. Also concerts happen in those stadions, however most are only used for football (soccer).

Surly we have the same sports as you in the US, we even play Football here, your football!! It's not as big as in the US, but it's there and it's growing.

The Veltins-Arena or Arena auf Schalke, is a special one. the soccer (or football) field is placed on a huge "cart" of come kind and can actually be moved out of there for other events to not get that damaged like most of the other pitched will get, when you cover them up for things like Ice Hockey or concerts and stuff...
Also, the roof of that arena can be opened or closed at will. (I think Frankfurt, "Deutsche Bank Arena" can do that too). In the Schalke Arena there are held multiple events in a year that you would never thnik of, when seeing a football stadium... some years ago there were stock car races, hockey games and even once a year, they cover the areny grounds with snow and have a biathlon event in there.
most of the staduims show here are build specifically for the football club, that is playing in there and only host some special events there... exception being the 2 Olympiastadiums mentioned...the one in Munich was home to the olympics in 1972 and afterwards to the FC Bayern Munich club, who now reside in the Allianz Arena. It is a "normal" stadium with track and field and all stuff in it and worldcups in that kind of sports are held there sometimes... The Olympiastadion in Berlin is actually a renovated version of the 1936 Olympiastadion. the blue tracks around the field and the big marathon gate at one side are quite unique.

Croke park in Dublin Ireland has a capacity of 82,300 the majority of the sport played there is GAA which is an Irish game it is also a totally amateur sport. No one gets paid. I have played there when I played for my school team. You should check out a GAA game like hurling.

However, I've been to Frankfurt and Gelsenkirchen only for music festivals, not for soccer games haha :D For soccer I've only been to Dortmund and smaller ones that weren't on this list.

It´s not problem to build it but to finance it. We have the largest stadium in Prague (Strahov stadium) in the world but it needs a reconstruction. It was built in 1932 and nowadays it serves as a training area with (I think) 11 playgrounds on it. It used to serve for Spartakiada. I´ve been there in 1997 at U2 concert and there was above 80 thousads people and they took just a part of the area. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Strahov_Stadium
