I love how simple it is yet back when I got into knives many years ago it seemed so hard . You buy every tool under the sun before you finally learn that a simple piece of sandpaper and leather strop is all ya need. Heck I do all my reprofiled edges with sandpaper on a board now.
Right! It was so daunting to sharpen a knife before I knew how. Now it’s just another thing I do with whatever I have on hand. Lol

I bought a mora 106 last year. Others said they don't like how long it is. 🤷♂️ Well, if I ever wanted a short blade, I'd "make my own" in a way, so I just carved out a sleeve from wood to put over it, thus covering half of the base blade, with only about 2 1/2 cm (1 inch) of the tip showing. Voila!People have to learn to think outside of the box, it helps so much. Your brain is your best tool, by far. It's the best muscle to strengthen. 😁
Works amazing! I used to spend so much time trying to get my knifes carving sharp with all kinds of stones and this method is by far the easiest and the most basic way to get them scary sharp!

4" pocket stone, Hard Arkansas Whetstone. Screams sharp everytime. Sand paper works as well.👍
