"Several of the members" is a bit of an exaggeration that somehow managed to circulate around the kpop community, especially with non-villains 😅
Gunil, Junhan, Gaon and Jooyeon all came into JYP to SPECIFICALLY become a band and have been in bands throughout middle school or high school or both. Gunil is even a drumming virtuoso from Berklee college of music!
Whilst Jungsu and Ode (the keyboarists) did originally intend to become idols, they weren't complete beginners who had never picked up instruments before. Jungsu already knew how to play piano beforehand and even though Ode did have to work hard to become the synth player he is today, you can tell he's completely come into his own now! He even has a whole setup called "The Odezone" where all of his various band equipment have different names with play-on-words that he loves showing off and playing on livestreams or during concerts!
But yeah I 100% agree with you about how Xdinary Heroes has truly evolved as a band and developed their musical individuality. They actually have a video on the JYP youtube channel called 'Finding Trouble Inside' where the members talk about their creative processes whilst making this album and discuss how much they've grown as musicians, which would be really cool for you to check out!

"maybe we'll get them in an anime intro or outro" THAT WOULD BE AWESOME, they do have an ost tho, don't know if you know, is for a comic/webtoon, the song is called Wego Wego, it's pretty cool

The members said that, even though the title is "Dreaming Girl", anyone going through struggles can relate to it. Anyone trying to follow their dreams but facing hardships can feel connected through this song. And it's actually the first song (not even just from XH, but in my life) that made me cry. Because I've gone through a lot in my life and I'm trying to better myself and get through things. It's very emotional for me. Fantastic song that can apply to anyone.
Gaon said that when they played Dreaming Girl live, his mom was there and he thought about how she was once a girl and his grandma was once a girl and they gave up their dreams to raise their children and that he (and 4 other members). 😢
This is hands down their best album to date. None of them are skips for me, even with two of them not being my favorites. They have continuously grown with every single album. Watching their early stuff compared to now is like watching a completely different band. And even between Livelock and this, they've grown immensely. I cannot wait to see what they come up with in the future! And I can't wait until everyone knows about them and gives them the respect they deserve!!
AND I FORGOT TO MENTION that we FINALLY got a full proper solo and insane shredding from Junhan in Money On My Mind. Like, I've been wanting him to go off for FOREVER AND HE FINALLY DID IT.
I love his solo in that song! Really showcasing his skills throughout the whole album.
@@R1c3yGaming Yeah he's insanely talented and I love when he gets moments to shine. He's kind of hard to notice for new people since he doesn't sing. (Though he had a line in No Matter and in concerts he yells a line in Money On My Mind). But he doesn't need to sing a lot! His guitar skills more than make up for it. Also I apologize for my several comments 😅 I was just writing them as I went through the video.

Dude. This was great. I love them. Ok, They are added to my list of ‘yes.’. To me, they have more of a fresh take on an old school metal band sound to me? I’m a fan. Oh Dang it.. more merch. lol

I think junhan got into the band as a guitarist since he is not into singing and dancing. Jooyeon just learned the bass after he passed the audition since the company insisted but has guitar background.

I'm kind of a hater of slow ballads LOL. But no, I just don't find them interesting and I've never been in love so I can't relate at all. BUT. Every single "ballad" from XH, whether it's a power ballad, rock, or acoustic, I've enjoyed immensely. Their vocals absolutely carry and makes them much more interesting to me. If it was a ballad by any other artist, I'd skip 🤣
