Do you like what you do? was it what you expected? and how many years of experience do you have in this field? Greetings from Argentina, thanks for so much value
Thank you so much for your vids!! Outside of skills, etc, can you now do a vid on maybe how you structure your "portfolio", CV/resume, and the interview? I know that's a lot, but I can't find a ton of info on those parts. Also, where are you from? I'm having a hard time placing the accent
Thank you very much for this great video.. One question, please, about building ML skills. ML is a very progressive field, we are overwhelmed by new platforms and technologies. My question is how to deal with this situation? how to choose 'the right way'?
Heya @Mohamed, IMHO there will never be a perfect way, there are ways however that deliver results. I tend to focus on the business problem or the tech stack a client/team is using and focus on those technologies. You're right though, there is WAYYYY too much stuff to try to cover it all. Sooner or later you just get comfortable with knowing you don't know everything and just roll with it. There's always more to learn but that's part of the fun!
Hey Nick I'm struggling to break through. I learned the skills got the certifications and worked 3 internships as machine learning engineer and computer vision engineer. I still can't seem to break in. I applied to over 1000 jobs and even got an AWS solutions architect certification too to help. But it seems like no one wants me. I have no idea what I should be doing. I already made a portfolio and starting making blog and video content on LinkedIn. I have an 16k followers on LinkedIn related to the data field. Nothing seems to work.
Heya @Josh, this really hit home for me, was just getting ready to go to the gym but wanted to stop and help ya out. What location are you in? What roles are you applying for and what stage are you getting knocked back at?
Thanks for the awesome advice Nicholas. I currently hold a bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering. Do you think a Masters in Data Science would be beneficial?
It very much depends @Mohamed. I truly stand by the process in the vid, I'd take a look at the roles you're interested in and see what they're asking for. If the positions are still a little unclear I'd try to reach out to the hiring manager and have a chat with them!
Nick, please make a vid on building portfolio, cv, and examples of project.
Ya, will do. Just released a project idea vid!
Another fantastic video . . . ! I started ML for image processing out of curiosity and your work polishes it even further . . . .!
