    This is what I call a car, that's engineering at its best, if used carefully still working not TODAY'S hi tech UNRELIABLE cars.The older they become, more charming and attractive they are. This is like giving personal touch to engineering love.

    How fast can this classic go? How does Rolls Royce during this Era compare to the German Mercedes Benz 770?

      Geschwindigkeit war nie die Maxime bei Rolls Royce,sondern Zuverlässigkeit,Langlebigkeit und die Verwendung der bestmöglichen Materialien!Man sollte nicht möglichst schnell ans Ziel kommen,sondern ungestresst.Außerdem hatte ü man in GB damals oftmals einen Chauffeur,den man bei längeren Reisen vorausschicke mit den Koffern,während die Herrschaften bequem im Salon-oder-Schlafwagen reisten! Das Auto hatte dann aber rechtzeitig am Zielbahnhof zu stehen!

      The front bumper looks American. Probably a Springfield Rolls-Royce.

      @@gf4353 This is definitely a Springfield. The giveaways are the wheel nuts and speedometer. Anyway, Derby didn't make any LH drive Phantom I's. The Springfield factory closed after making Phantom I's and Derby made two series of LH drive Phantom II's for export. The kneeling Spirit of Ecstasy wasn't introduced until the Phantom III.
