Texas Sailboat Racing Highlights - Rum Race #8

Sailboat racing highlights and clips from cameras on board the Hunter 340 "Sunspot Baby" and Hunter 40 "Hobgoblin" and their crews in the GBCA Cruzan Rum Race #8 on Galveston Bay on Saturday, September 26th, 2020. About 40 boats raced on a beautiful Texas day, with lots of great sailing action. The downwind last leg is just wild, best race of 2020 so far!

Glad you liked the video! It’s a club rating for this race, not sure what it exactly was, they change it every race depending on how you finished the last race. In a lot of races I use my PHRF spin rating, 168, which I think is low, but don’t we all think our ratings are too low.

Thanks captnjoe, one vote for second. And you are absolutely right, first step to a cure is to realize you have a problem! I know I have a problem with taking photos and videos and not focusing on sailing and the race. I need to hide my problem better with editing or get some help!
