truly sick and twisted to hit us with that have yourself a merry little christmas cover towards the end, it was so beautiful it nearly had me in tears!!!! and of course little drummer boy was so so lovely too
Watching your crafting process was so relatable, haha! I am glad you came around to liking them in the end because they are all super cute and thoughtful!
It's so funny that you weren't super happy with some of the ornaments you made, yet I'm sitting here like "they all look like masterpieces to me" 😂 This video is such a perfect cozy vibe to watch while I finish decorating our tree!
i love literally all of those crafts lmaooo especially the little clay guys!! sorry you went through the "i hate my art" phase that every artist goes through on them. keep in mind that going through that phase means you're actually stepping up in your artistic talent! so keep at it!
The art and ornaments turned out so beautifully!! I can relate to those mid-craft "I hate my art" moments. I love making handcrafted gifts as well, but sometimes I decide not to give them away when I'm not satisfied with the outcome. You handled it so well by pushing through. And I’m so glad you did because I think David and Ton are going to love them!
Omg, a JATP cover of Last Christmas!! You have no idea how excited I am about this! For years I've been listening to the TalkFine cover that Clark and Pierce uploaded like a decade ago. Also: I finished my Woodburning crafts that I mentioned in some other comment on your channel, yay! Really fun to see your crafts again, very inspiring :)
Tomato soil tip because you asked: the reason you don't reuse it is that nightshades (like tomato and potato) are heavy nitrogen feeders. Depleted soil makes for plants that are more vulnerable to pests and disease (pests on a smaller scale). So next year, plant beans in this same soil. They are nitrogen fixers and will restore the chemical balance so that heavy feeders can be planted there the next year. Also: don't remove dead bean plants from the soil as you will also remove a lot of the nitrogen you are trying to fix in the soil. Dig the dead plants in to the dirt and let them overwinter, covered in leaves. Boom.
Ugh sorry, can't stop. The soil could benefit from making it a three year cycle; wait another year before you do tomatoes and plant lettuce or kale instead. Or switch your greens and beans years so that the nitrogen is "fresh" for tomatoes. Crop rotation, dudes. And always dig dead plants into the soil and cover with leaves. Soil health is plant health is animal health.
If someone gave me a homemade haul of ornaments like that, I think I would weep! I love all your different ideas - the little embroidered trees, clay kitty and fairy door were my faves. And I just saw The Boy and the Heron last night and got a little teary earlier listening to Hisaishi's score again. Thanks for sharing this glimpse into your cozy December!
you guys are simply too cute 🥺 i can deffo relate to the crafting feelios. every year i make my mom a new ornament for the tree and can literally track which year i was feeling like an Artiste vs feeling like i was back in grade school making something by looking at them lmao. but this gave me inspo for what to make this year so thank you!!
This vlog was just absolute christmas vibes. Watching it in my VHS sweater (which arrived on Monday yay) while getting ready to go to a Christmas Market was the perfect little treat 🎅🏼 Thank you for sharing the holiday spirit 🎄
your vlogs are always so cosy!!! I'm working on christmas crafts right now and I have so many to finish but now I just really want to go make some polymer clay ornaments because yours were just SO cute!!!!
I love this! For Christmas/December, I gave my mom an advent calendar of jams in little tiny jars. We decided for our Christmas dinner, we're going to turn the empty jars into ornaments with m&ms inside and a little typewritten holiday note! My friend came over and we crafted together-I hot glued the ornaments and she embroidered patches for a Christmas gift for her friend!
@@MerediddyS absolutely!! Is there an email I can send a picture to? I don’t have social media anymore (trying to connect more in real life than worrying about an online one!)

Beautiful caroling! And I'm highly impressed by your crafting skills! I've recently learned that while drawing is my thing; I have forgotten how to be crafty, so seeing all the things you've been working on is amazing! Also, thank you Brian for saying "I was feeling Idle...". It made me realize that is how I have been feeling over the past few days. I did the oranges this year, too (I am not immune to Instagram influencers), and they took me almost FIVE HOURS to actually dry out. I burnt 2 of them, and a few of the slices were still a tiny bit wet, but I've had them in an open container on my table for the last week, and now they seem actually dried!

dig dead plants in *unless diseased*. Had to give that caveat. God, I'm insufferable. Will stop now.
