- Hello everyone,
In this video, I am travelling to India from Canada after 4 years. I started my journey from London, Ontario, Canada.
I took the One X bus from Via Rails, London to Pearson Airport Terminal 1.
The bus trip cost me - $38 with tax, ( including 2, 23 kgs check-in bags and 1, 7kg cabin bag) and then I took a free train from terminal 1 to terminal 3.
Checked in my luggage with Etihad airlines.
I did a short comparison of liquors and fragrances prices in Toronto and Abu Dhabi duty-free.
Please note: The prices of liquors and fragrances in Toronto are in CAD and the prices in Abu Dhabi are in AED / USD
The customer service of Etihad Airlines was amazing. The seats were very comfortable and the food was amazing.
My immigration process at the airport in India and Toronto was very smooth.

Thank you for sharing your experience. Just want to make sure that, Did Abu Dhabi security gave you hard time for carrying liqour from Toronto duty free or they don't do any screening prior to Delhi flight ?
No bro, you can buy 2 litres of alcohol from Toronto or Abu Dhabi duty free.
No one gonna give you hard time in security check.
You can keep the liquor bag in your cabin bag or personal bag.
Note: “only 2 litres of alcohol is permitted.”

Hi, did you do any covid test or just vaccination certificate is required? And are 2 vacciné shots enough to travel? And what’s the process at Abu Dhabi airport? Just the security and heading to gate or anything else? Thanks
No one asked for my vaccination or Covid test.
Yes, you need to be double vaccinated.
There is no covid test or vaccine receipt checking on Abu Dhabi Airport but yes, rules can change anytime better visit destinations airport website and read the rules and regulations. All the best

Hey, thanks for such an insightful video. Could you also shed some light on the scotia credit card usage? by any chance, were you able to access the lounge using scotia credit card? Thanks.
I did not use the lounge because my layover was only for 3 hours. You can use scotia credit card to make payments, it will not charge you any extra fee. It converts the currency at real time rate and you can make transactions without any additional charges. Moreover,
You can get a lounge but it will be expensive.

Its always a good idea to keep some USD.
I had around 600USD.
I only spent $100 something to buy a perfume in Dubai or $25 something to eat.
NOTE:
Its a good idea to carry your credit card with you, I had scotia credit card.
I was using my scotia credit card all over the trip. It didn’t charged me any extra rate for using it internationally.
The airline services is really good so, I feel your wife will face any problem and the crew was really good with the kids, what I noticed on the plane.
So, I feel you don’t have to worry about it.

If we are travelling from delhi to toronto via abu dhabi through etihad so do we have to give immigration again at abu dhabi airport ???

My bags are almost at 23 kgs each. I have a cabin bag for 6.5 kgs plus a backpack with two laptops. Do they weigh cabin and backpack at Pearson and be strict about it? Thank you in advance!
depends on the situation but In my case they didn’t weight my personal and cabin bag.
I think you will be fine. Your bags are 23 kgs with in the limit. Cabin bag u have 6.5 kgs thats also under the limit. I hope u r using a small size personal bag to carry 2 laptops.( like a school bag or laptop bag)

Hello I have two questions, first can I carry 6 bottles of perfumes from Canada to India? And can I carry alcohol more than 2 litres from Canada to India? And I will carry these in my check in luggage.
Sorry I was not able to reply back… limit for alcohol in India is 2 litres and regarding perfume bottles I am not pretty sure how much u can carry in check in bags, my friend took like 4 perfumes in checkin bag, he did not get into any trouble, but for me I bought 2 bottles of whiskey and 2 perfumes from duty free which was allowed to keep it with u as a carry bag in flight.
I am pretty sure, you have already travelled till now. Please share your experience so that we all can learn aswell.

Hi Do they allow to carry liquor bought only from duty free or It can be from any liquor shop outside the Airport which is packed before entering the Airport?

If you are travelling to India and have layover in UAE, you do not need visa. Visa is only required if you wan to go out side of airport.

I want to ask one thing that in Abu dhabi do we need to change the terminal by air bus?
You can change the terminal by walk inside the Abu Dhabi airport. I changed my terminal from 1 to 3 while coming back from Delhi
Delhi terminal 3 to Abu Dhabi terminal 1 then I walked to Abu Dhabi terminal 3 (Follow the sign boards) then I took flight to Toronto terminal 3.
