Dumplings are too thick for me. Always rolled mine thin. Now I buy frozen Mary Hill Dumplings from Wal-Mart. Cook them in chicken broth, Cream of Chicken soup and a can of water for 35 minutes. Yummy! Just cooked some for Thanksgiving. I do like their pinto beans.
Mac n cheese = #1 for me I know everyone has different tastes and I do like most of the sides I have tried, but I don’t see how anyone could rate their melt in your mouth fresh biscuits lower than their bitter corn bread muffins.
I’ve always loved their chicken and dumplings. It’s one of my favorite dishes from any restaurant I’ve eaten at. I haven’t eaten there since pre-pandemic, has it really fallen off this badly?
Their breakfast items aren’t too shabby at all. I went to Cracker Barrel in San Antonio about a few weeks ago and their chicken fried steak breakfast was really tasty and decent.
I always get fried apples as one of my sides. It's like getting dessert. 😋 As side note, I was Extremely disappointed in the chicken pot pie. Very mushy and no flavor.
I love CrackerBarrel ❤️ and the first few minutes were how terrible the food was. This obviously is one person's opinion and that doesn't count for much. I didn't finish this video
I think most of the food at Cracker Barrel is just average and overpriced. I usually just get the pancakes 🥞 with scrambled eggs 🥚 and a side of extra crispy bacon 🥓
"with a hint of onion and garlic powder" stop right there if thats the "best sidedishes" from this restaurant, it seemed there is more bad things to say than good.
2yrs ago there food was Great! After that there food got a “F”. Either because they brought new cook’s whom don’t know how to COOK! Maybe they need Gordon Ramsay! The Southern Cooking is gone. Meat loaf, mashed potato’s, green beans, and gravy was terrible. David Sare
Have to agree with you. The menu changes such as loss of the onion rings chicken BLT chicken and rice not to mention loss of French dressing and Italian dressing changed everything completely. Went there this Thanksgiving. Exit 7 Bristol VA. It was terrible!! The manager was kind and did not charge us. We did not eat it. Have not been back sense.
you would think the gravy here would be amazing....... dont get me wrong i love eating at this place but the gravy is total flour filled powder made crap!!!

Never once had a bad dumplin' at Cracker Barrel! That's the main reason my family goes there.

Main dish: Chicken and dumplin's. Side dishes: two extra orders of dumplin's, three if you go for the more expensive option.
Just keep the biscuits and muffins coming.
