It's wild that Gaider is calling players 'tourists' when 3 voice actors and the game director of this game didn't even know who Zevran was in a recent interview. 'Tourist' is just another slur these clowns like to use against people who don't richard-ride everything they make and do.
They are trying too hard to appropriate a term that people use for people like them, hacks who pretend to be fans of a thing to try and have more leverage when trying to convince you that a franchise you liked was always shit actually and their changes made it better. Straight up malicious lying.

As an OG Origins to Inquisition fan, Zeveran is how you do a non-traditional character. He's just a random assassin who tries to jump you and you have the choice of killing him or letting him live. If you let him live you find out his larger than life personality and he just happens to swing both ways, it's not his entire personality. Hell, if your approval isn't high enough, he'll turn against you. I love that Antonio Banderez esque motherfucker. THAT is how you write a character.
Bought every Dragon Age game that had come out, bought 90% of all dlc that came out for those games. Played through Dragon Age Origins almost a dozen times to completion. Yet somehow IM THE FUCKING TOURIST?! 10 years of waiting Gaider, 10 long years FOR WHAT? I barely even recognize what DA is now because without the title and the few familiar faces it looks like any other generic fantasy out with ZERO appeal. You know what, fine. Fenris and Dorian (and other returning characters) may well be in this. The DA comics put Fenris at Tevinter. We just havent seen the game. Even the people who played 7 hours have not seen even all of act 1. We will only know when its out. Wait for reviews to be sure. But lets not jump to conclusions. I touched Blue Wraith - it is a tasteless rewrite of the original Fenris - here, Gaider didn't even participate in it's creation, in his place I would be angry. Think about it. Their EGO. Their GALL. Everything the devs did so far disregarded your previous companions, while praising these new arrivals like they are the best thing ever happened (cough saying it's mass effect 2 level of writing or smth). The Keep choices are non-existent. Is it really to keep all the characters alive? Or is it to forget them? Varric? He is here for 15 minutes of the gameplay. There is a video of exactly what happens so it doesn't leave much room for interpretation. If it isn't a cheap death that's a cheap trick then. And look at his design - even without the stupid recolour, that's a betrayal to his original CHOICE of style and nothing justifies it. They don't know who Zevran is. Figures. His mere existence puts a large shadow on your new friends the Crows. Like, a humongous dark fantasy shadow, and we are supposed to accept our new crow companion... for a good cook or smth? What else have they cut out? Who else doesn't fit this new vision? What even IS Solas fighting against if we're apparently in an egaletarean society now? His twisted idea of justice for your female city elf (doesn't seem hof is returning) and her family, for Zevran and what happened to his family, for Fenris - oh, guess who we COULD have seen as a magister in that cursed timeline of da2 choices? What is still happening to the elves to this moment? That the elven Rook HAS to be tempted to side with Solas? (Imagine far cry style early easter egg, oh, a pun, ending). But all these atrocities apparently don't exist. The characters who carry them inside and ON their skin - will they be gone? Will they return as a shell of their former self? Dorian was persecuted for being gay. Krem was hunted and would be killed or worse. Like them or not they were fighting for their visions, huh, tools, there is no such thing as of now.
@@RandomWandrer. Fenris is 100% not in the game. He can die in DA2 and his fate cannot even be imported into Veilguard. Epler already said that while they want to respect our decisions, they don't want (they are too lazy) to deal with them either, so they simply will ignore them and avoid completely to mention anything related to past games outside of the three Trespasser choices that will be imported. Dorian will probably be, because he is their favorite pet gay character, and they made sure that no matter what, his ending in Inquisition wouldn't conflict his appearance in the next game. I didn't even recruit him in my last Inquistion playthrough, and he comes back for Trespasser acting as if he was your best friend, that totally destroyed my immersion.

Is it surprising after the crap he (and mostly Jennifer Hepler with his full support ) pulled with Anders in DA2 ? They completely changed his personality from his first appearance in the Dragon Age Origins Awakening dlc ... which was lame but fine it happens , events do change people , moving on . They made him bisexual (but oddly enough only gay if the main character is male) ... fine i did not care . Where it became a real problem , is having that new version of Anders being a psycho that mistook any kind or neutral gesture or dialogue , as an opening to flirt , and going crazy when you rebuke him , even gently as a friend . If it was a common reaction across all romancing options , that being rebuked made them mad , it would make sense . Or if it even tied into Anders going full crazy over the Chantry . But that was not the case . And of course anyone voicing this complaint was a "bigot" in the eyes of Gaider .That was always , and still is , weird and dumb .

Ah yes, the good old tactic of lumping all criticism together so as to wholly avoid any of it. Gaider's not the only one who's fallen victim to this practice. George RR Martin and Neil Gaiman are two stellar examples for this as well. Most people would not give a fuck if there were stupid scars IF the fucking game retained anything of its predecessors. But the whole thing, from art style to combat etc. has been perverted into something unrecognizable. But SURE! Keep focusing on the fucking scars, my man! That'll show 'em! ETA: Coming from the guy who left BioWare bc writers aren't valued by EA. The guy who, himself, criticized the fact that everybody is "pan"sexual now (bisexual is a bad word these days, for being "exclusive"), and called the art style "interesting", in a way that highly suggests HE would not have approved of it, if he had been in charge.
This! I don't care about character creation or npc sexuality. I loved Zevran and romanced him. I loved Dorian. Dorian and Iron Bull in my party was awesome due to the back and forth. I romanced Anders also. I romanced Sera. I played through a few times. I loved Krem and thought they were hot but they weren't a romance option. Prior DA titles had so much replayability. But I digress. My problem with Veilguard is with the lack of open world, the big headed characters (WHY??), the lack of consequence for decisions. Mission based game play with no freedom. Nah, no thanks. I refunded my deluxe preorder when all of these facts came out. I won't pay almost $100 for a game that I know I won't enjoy.

I'm disappointed, but not surprised. His writing showed a depth of perspective you don't often see now. I read his books as well as played the games. You can't fake that kind of complexity. But his resentment is also understandable. He's gay, and old enough to remember when that was considered reason enough to physically harm someone. Plus, it's difficult not to get caught up with the rage and tribalism. It's everywhere; not just in gaming or ideologies or politics. I think we're all full up and coping. Gaider included. I wish he hadn't put that simplistic insult in writing, but I've made similar mistakes when full up with garbage. Trying to be the voice of reason can feel like a losing battle at the best of times. And we're not living in those. Hopefully, he tries to understand the original audience's grievances at some point. A little leeway from different perspectives goes a long way. He literally wrote the book on that. I guess time will tell. For now, I'll suspend a firm opinion on the matter. His work brought a lot more than mindless gaming to my life. So I think he deserves a bit of patience and latitude. At least from me.
Yeah, that's a fair take. It's kind of impossible to keep a level head in the internet environment, eventually everyone starts feeling they have to strike back at something undeserved... Gaider is hyper-focusing on the "anti-woke" angle of the criticisms, but there is much more to it than just that. Still, I can understand that the Dragon Age franchise has always been quite open about things related to sexualities and marginalization, so to encounter a new wave of people being offended by "wokeness" has to be tiresome at this point. That being said, his comment doesn't help Veilguard in the slightest.

@@doctorogre1777 Seems the real talent may have been a guy named Drew Karpyshyn, based on a post he made he said as he was leaving the company in 2012 he "felt that he took too much of the credit.. but it was the work of a team blah blah blah." Also seems like he left Bioware because it got too corporate, and also reddit doesn't seem to like the guy. It all seems to add up that he was the real talent. I don't know where he is these days so don't quote me on any of that. EDIT: OH guess what, I found he works at Archetype Entertainment now which is working on Exodus, which is being hailed as the spiritual successor to mass effect.

I bought Mass Effect 1-3 at full price. I bought Legendary Edition at full Price. I bought Dragon Age Origins and all its dlc at full price. I bought Inquisition, reluctantly, not at launch but at full price (my main issue with it was the MMO-esque design, not anything to do with "woke" or "lgbt" or whatever) as well as the dlc. I skipped andromeda just because I didn't like the writting or the trailers, but I still love mass effect. I played and replayed these games thousands of hours. I didn't finish inquisition though because Im a completionist and I found the collectible systems boring and I was simply not having fun. I finished a playthrough for every origin in DA:O, I played dragon age 2 as 3 Hawkes (2 male diplomatic and joker and 1 female agressive). I'm not gonna mention anything about Mass Effect, just that it's my favourite game series. But I guess that I'm part of the "usual suspects" or "tourists" or not part of the "core player base" and whichever dehumanizing language they chose to paint a target on my back for simply not being cool with this political gender queer bullshit propaganda introduced in most games as of recently. They live on the internet, I doubt they actually have actual conversation with other humans. i can empathize with others, but these people with these issues are sociopaths with narcissist personalities, they can only see themselves. They recognize they are a minority but they don't understand why people don't accept their bullshit. Gender surgery scars on a medieval fantasy setting? They/them pronouns? Bioware has always been "woke", this much is true. But what these people at the media and at Bioware can't comprehand is this: On a wokeness-scale from 1 to 10, previous Bioware titles were like a 3. I'm totally a tourist. I started playing in 2011 and have multiple playthroughs in every DA to date. I preordered Inquisition in June of 2014 and it's the only Collector's Edition of a game I've ever purchased. I remember being so hyped for the release that I tried (and failed) to skip my aunt's funeral which fell on the same day so that I wouldn't miss the delivery.
Its strange that people seem to have forgotten where BioWare stands. They dont care if ideology ruins their games. This has been true for the DA franchise since DA2. The signs were already there and yet we came back for Inquisition. Time to put the final nail in BW's coffin.

If the whole premise for this transgender stuff is I was born in the wrong body, why does surgery scar matter in a game where you can choose both male and female, wouldn't you technically be able to play what resonate with you. DA has always given me the opportunity to be who I am and more - to be a Fantasy Hero. That's what I want from a game, not scars and women without boobs. To be fair: Both Mass Effect and Dragon Age have been on the woke side when it comes to diversity and inclusion for a long, long time. If the only criticism for Veilguard was based on that, he'd be right to call the people complaining effing tourists because the same highly permissible romance options and trends in character creation have been in previous games for ages. The problem is that this isn't the only or even just main complaint. The surgery scars and other weird inclusivity options (that often make zero sense within the context of a magical universe where shapeshifters and spells/potions exist and the sort of highly invasive surgeries we do today would be lethal) are just one irregularity in a slew of complaints, most of which don't give a fig about the diversity angle. They butchered the Qunari, dumbed down the combat even further than it already has been and completely moved away from the previous tone of the franchise. It went from high fantasy to wannabe Saints Row. Haven't seen the context of the interview so it could be that he only meant to address the people that bashed the game for the inclusivity and not any of the other criticisms, but that Qunari redesign into Best Buy Klingons is hurting my soul.

If he's going to call me a tourist; I've played Dragon Age Origins thoroughly enough that even with the DLC when it first came out on 360 - I had only ONE achievement that I never got. I've seen every ending. Played every type of character. I did the same for DA2 - I know those two games like the back of my hand. I played Dragon Age Inquisition, to several types of characters (though I'm not nearly as fond of it as the original) I still own all three games. Gaider meanwhile is a lead writer. He may well be one of the reason I've never found a way to make Teagan the fucking arl of Redcliffe - because there's NO way not to save Aemon. Even if you kill Connor, or Isolde - and there's NO way to kill them both. There's very little chance anyone's even seen the ending during the redcliffe seige where there are no casualties. I think I've done it maybe twice. He might be the reason even though the Grey Wardens are supposed to be politically neutral and focused SOLELY on the Darkspawn (when they were actually a threart - and no I don't know why Hawke who ISN'T a Grey Warden never has to deal with the taint; but their sister/brother dies automatically if you bring them along on the incursion but don't bring Anders - or why they fucked Anders' Character over so hard in that game. He wasn't great in Awakenings with the leanings he had, and they could've gone the smart way and let his time with the Wardens TEMPER him, so that he wasn't massively retarded at the end of the game) you end up being everyone's bleeding bitch as an errand boy = to get them to WANT to save their own asses from a nigh endless plague of fucking locusts. For all I know he could be the reason that Anora never even has a kid (which is part of her royal RESPONSIBILITY - and the mark of an actually savvy queen by the way, since she's NOT immortal) with the Hero of Fereldan. If you can't even uncross your legs for a guy you actually like/respect who has legitimately saved the world, nevermind your throne, and insist on fighting over who actually wears the bloody pants; how high is your bar lady??? Instead they're PROUD of that point, and call it strength. The Tudor line effectively died out as a royal dynasty because that queen ALSO chose never to marry or produce an heir... just saying. The idea that Solas was the Dread Wolf (I don't like it, but at least they had a stinger ending that was BUILDING up to making him a CREDIBLE antagonist - or anti hero that we mistake for the antagonist) and Flemeth was Mythal was always STUPID as balls and Flemeth returning at all was also not well done. I don't care who voiced her. We killed her; she wasn't stated to actually be immortal definitively, and though I can appreciate a certain creativity in the loop hole, it IS a loop hole that still doesn't prove she's "immortal." The thirty year death sentence was also retarded; because you're stated to be IMMUNE to the effects of the taint. So while I understand Mithridism has its consequences, the DLC adds magic powers that are actively punitive but stated to "unlock" the "potential" of the rite... which could have been the way the writers just said fuck it. HoF DOESN'T have to die in 3 decades just because Nhilism. There's also a final point that Khrem lives in a world with actual magic; and a specialization introduced in the first game, which Morrigan herself outright admits CAN work in the vein of changing a human into a human (never specifically mentions it can't be a different gender) but she gets nothing out of it, because of the reason for which she actively uses the power. Which is mostly a new perspective/recon based. There's the fact that Celine from Orlais was slated to be married to Cailan to end the strife between their continents. It actively could have been stated that in those negotiations; Cailan had already IMPREGNATED Celine/Secretly married her in Orlais, so he DID have a blood legacy to pass the crown to - which would have put her into a legitimate position of power as the regent for a rightful heir. Alistar didn't need to be the only option. Nor did you assholes actually need to introduce a former female elven lover, just to fuck up EVERYTHING implied in Return to Ostagar and put Loghain's actions squarely back to sour asshole, who could've/should've saved Cailan in the first place. Where that DLC and it's insinuation actually gave him a more sympathetic reasoning for what he did. It would've been fine to confirm that Anora was in fact the problem. It doesn't take anything away from her character as a ruler - except the option to legitimately continue the legacy; and would have made it possible without a very specific set of circumstances in game, to actually be Alistar's mistress. So that the Therin line doesn't just die out. : / But what do I know... I'm a Tourist.

I remember when over the phone customer service was outsourced to apathetic Canadians first, then to impossible to understand support based in India. In both cases customer satisfaction tanked. Cost savings doesn't cover the gap in satisfaction, especially when you're dependent on revenue to survive.

I feel abandoned, of all people I thought Gaider would understand long time fans' criticisms of the direction of the Veilguard. It is not Dragon Age at all in theme and style. Is it surprising after the crap he (and mostly Jennifer Hepler with his full support ) pulled with Anders in DA2 ? They completely changed his personality from his first appearance in the Dragon Age Origins Awakening dlc ... which was lame but fine it happens , events do change people , moving on . They made him bisexual (but oddly enough only gay if the main character is male) ... fine i did not care . Where it became a real problem , is having that new version of Anders being a psycho that mistook any kind or neutral gesture or dialogue , as an opening to flirt , and going crazy when you rebuke him , even gently as a friend . If it was a common reaction across all romancing options , that being rebuked made them mad , it would make sense . Or if it even tied into Anders going full crazy over the Chantry . But that was not the case . And of course anyone voicing this complaint was a "bigot" in the eyes of Gaider .That was always , and still is , weird and dumb .

This! I don't care about character creation or npc sexuality. I loved Zevran and romanced him. I loved Dorian. Dorian and Iron Bull in my party was awesome due to the back and forth. I romanced Anders also. I romanced Sera. I played through a few times. I loved Krem and thought they were hot but they weren't a romance option. Prior DA titles had so much replayability. But I digress. My problem with Veilguard is with the lack of open world, the big headed characters (WHY??), the lack of consequence for decisions. Mission based game play with no freedom. Nah, no thanks. I refunded my deluxe preorder when all of these facts came out. I won't pay almost $100 for a game that I know I won't enjoy.

I'm disappointed, but not surprised. His writing showed a depth of perspective you don't often see now. I read his books as well as played the games. You can't fake that kind of complexity. But his resentment is also understandable. He's gay, and old enough to remember when that was considered reason enough to physically harm someone. Plus, it's difficult not to get caught up with the rage and tribalism. It's everywhere; not just in gaming or ideologies or politics. I think we're all full up and coping. Gaider included. I wish he hadn't put that simplistic insult in writing, but I've made similar mistakes when full up with garbage. Trying to be the voice of reason can feel like a losing battle at the best of times. And we're not living in those. Hopefully, he tries to understand the original audience's grievances at some point. A little leeway from different perspectives goes a long way. He literally wrote the book on that. I guess time will tell. For now, I'll suspend a firm opinion on the matter. His work brought a lot more than mindless gaming to my life. So I think he deserves a bit of patience and latitude. At least from me.
Yeah, that's a fair take. It's kind of impossible to keep a level head in the internet environment, eventually everyone starts feeling they have to strike back at something undeserved... Gaider is hyper-focusing on the "anti-woke" angle of the criticisms, but there is much more to it than just that. Still, I can understand that the Dragon Age franchise has always been quite open about things related to sexualities and marginalization, so to encounter a new wave of people being offended by "wokeness" has to be tiresome at this point.

I bought Mass Effect 1-3 at full price. I bought Legendary Edition at full Price. I bought Dragon Age Origins and all its dlc at full price. I bought Inquisition, reluctantly, not at launch but at full price (my main issue with it was the MMO-esque design, not anything to do with "woke" or "lgbt" or whatever) as well as the dlc. I skipped andromeda just because I didn't like the writting or the trailers, but I still love mass effect.
I played and replayed these games thousands of hours. I didn't finish inquisition though because Im a completionist and I found the collectible systems boring and I was simply not having fun.
I finished a playthrough for every origin in DA:O, I played dragon age 2 as 3 Hawkes (2 male diplomatic and joker and 1 female agressive).
I'm not gonna mention anything about Mass Effect, just that it's my favourite game series.

I'm totally a tourist. I started playing in 2011 and have multiple playthroughs in every DA to date. I preordered Inquisition in June of 2014 and it's the only Collector's Edition of a game I've ever purchased. I remember being so hyped for the release that I tried (and failed) to skip my aunt's funeral which fell on the same day so that I wouldn't miss the delivery.
Its strange that people seem to have forgotten where BioWare stands. They dont care if ideology ruins their games. This has been true for the DA franchise since DA2. The signs were already there and yet we came back for Inquisition. Time to put the final nail in BW's coffin.

Having spent hundreds of hours in games, hundreds, if not thousands of euros, to buy games, dlcs (which were sometimes pure scams), books, to be told that you are a tourist by a guy who has never been able to have artistic consistency on darkspawns and on the lore through 3 successive games is a joke in bad taste.
But it is also the joke in bad taste too many, because loyalty is never rewarded with these cheap activists. These people will no longer have a cent from me until this studio is definitively closed.
They're saying stuff isn't woke and all that, if that is the case why does surgery scar matter. If the whole premise for this transgender stuff is I was born in the wrong body, why does surgery scar matter in a game where you can choose both male and female, wouldn't you technically be able to play what resonate with you. Not its all about the gender politics and social engineering.
Ok, I`m a queer person. Everything Corinne Busche says is bullshit. I respect when someone potects my rights in real life, but I hate it when someone uses my status for their own gain. I don't play games to emulate my gender identity. I play to be a mage and fight dragons. I play for strong story and great characters. I play for hard choices and consequences. DA has always given me the opportunity to be who I am and more - to be a Fantasy Hero. That's what I want from a game, not scars and women without boobs. Corinne Busche just doesn't know how to make games and hides behind all this.

To be fair: Both Mass Effect and Dragon Age have been on the woke side when it comes to diversity and inclusion for a long, long time. If the only criticism for Veilguard was based on that, he'd be right to call the people complaining effing tourists because the same highly permissible romance options and trends in character creation have been in previous games for ages.
The problem is that this isn't the only or even just main complaint. The surgery scars and other weird inclusivity options (that often make zero sense within the context of a magical universe where shapeshifters and spells/potions exist and the sort of highly invasive surgeries we do today would be lethal) are just one irregularity in a slew of complaints, most of which don't give a fig about the diversity angle.
They butchered the Qunari, dumbed down the combat even further than it already has been and completely moved away from the previous tone of the franchise. It went from high fantasy to wannabe Saints Row.
Haven't seen the context of the interview so it could be that he only meant to address the people that bashed the game for the inclusivity and not any of the other criticisms, but that Qunari redesign into Best Buy Klingons is hurting my soul.
I agree on Dragon Age but originally ME1 and ME2 were a bro game tbh. The woke started slightly in ME3 and they went full on in Andromeda.

I felt that DAV was a dating SIM set in gritty dark fantasy. Knowing Corrine worked on the SIMs makes it all come together.
Inq was the gate to woke, all of the characters were soft as fuck and the decisions were nonsense just leading into trying to get you to pull a millenial puck up line. Also origins and 2 were just dark and had great atmosphere, if this is the new DA then i am totally a tourist.

If he's going to call me a tourist; I've played Dragon Age Origins thoroughly enough that even with the DLC when it first came out on 360 - I had only ONE achievement that I never got. I've seen every ending. Played every type of character. I did the same for DA2 - I know those two games like the back of my hand. I played Dragon Age Inquisition, to several types of characters (though I'm not nearly as fond of it as the original) I still own all three games. Gaider meanwhile is a lead writer. He may well be one of the reason I've never found a way to make Teagan the fucking arl of Redcliffe - because there's NO way not to save Aemon. Even if you kill Connor, or Isolde - and there's NO way to kill them both. There's very little chance anyone's even seen the ending during the redcliffe seige where there are no casualties. I think I've done it maybe twice. He might be the reason even though the Grey Wardens are supposed to be politically neutral and focused SOLELY on the Darkspawn (when they were actually a threart - and no I don't know why Hawke who ISN'T a Grey Warden never has to deal with the taint; but their sister/brother dies automatically if you bring them along on the incursion but don't bring Anders - or why they fucked Anders' Character over so hard in that game. He wasn't great in Awakenings with the leanings he had, and they could've gone the smart way and let his time with the Wardens TEMPER him, so that he wasn't massively retarded at the end of the game) you end up being everyone's bleeding bitch as an errand boy = to get them to WANT to save their own asses from a nigh endless plague of fucking locusts. For all I know he could be the reason that Anora never even has a kid (which is part of her royal RESPONSIBILITY - and the mark of an actually savvy queen by the way, since she's NOT immortal) with the Hero of Fereldan. If you can't even uncross your legs for a guy you actually like/respect who has legitimately saved the world, nevermind your throne, and insist on fighting over who actually wears the bloody pants; how high is your bar lady??? Instead they're PROUD of that point, and call it strength. The Tudor line effectively died out as a royal dynasty because that queen ALSO chose never to marry or produce an heir... just saying. The idea that Solas was the Dread Wolf (I don't like it, but at least they had a stinger ending that was BUILDING up to making him a CREDIBLE antagonist - or anti hero that we mistake for the antagonist) and Flemeth was Mythal was always STUPID as balls and Flemeth returning at all was also not well done. I don't care who voiced her. We killed her; she wasn't stated to actually be immortal definitively, and though I can appreciate a certain creativity in the loop hole, it IS a loop hole that still doesn't prove she's "immortal." The thirty year death sentence was also retarded; because you're stated to be IMMUNE to the effects of the taint. So while I understand Mithridism has its consequences, the DLC adds magic powers that are actively punitive but stated to "unlock" the "potential" of the rite... which could have been the way the writers just said fuck it. HoF DOESN'T have to die in 3 decades just because Nhilism. There's also a final point that Khrem lives in a world with actual magic; and a specialization introduced in the first game, which Morrigan herself outright admits CAN work in the vein of changing a human into a human (never specifically mentions it can't be a different gender) but she gets nothing out of it, because of the reason for which she actively uses the power. Which is mostly a new perspective/recon based. There's the fact that Celine from Orlais was slated to be married to Cailan to end the strife between their continents. It actively could have been stated that in those negotiations; Cailan had already IMPREGNATED Celine/Secretly married her in Orlais, so he DID have a blood legacy to pass the crown to - which would have put her into a legitimate position of power as the regent for a rightful heir. Alistar didn't need to be the only option. Nor did you assholes actually need to introduce a former female elven lover, just to fuck up EVERYTHING implied in Return to Ostagar and put Loghain's actions squarely back to sour asshole, who could've/should've saved Cailan in the first place. Where that DLC and it's insinuation actually gave him a more sympathetic reasoning for what he did. It would've been fine to confirm that Anora was in fact the problem. It doesn't take anything away from her character as a ruler - except the option to legitimately continue the legacy; and would have made it possible without a very specific set of circumstances in game, to actually be Alistar's mistress. So that the Therin line doesn't just die out. : /

@MrHardcoreMode it bears mentioning in a lot of the failures of the games being released. I remember when over the phone customer service was outsourced to apathetic Canadians first, then to impossible to understand support based in India. In both cases customer satisfaction tanked. Cost savings doesn't cover the gap in satisfaction, especially when you're dependent on revenue to survive.

I feel abandoned, of all people I thought Gaider would understand long time fans' criticisms of the direction of the Veilguard. It is not Dragon Age at all in theme and style. It's really not fair to lump all criticisms of the game as hate. I did not wait 10 yrs nor put in 100s of hours into playing the previous games and read all the novels just to be written off as a tourist.
