He glued without testing it first. Not very smart. One should plug the display, turn it on to test, if its working, turn it off again and then glue it.
@henrique paiva i have one question, does it matter if the broken display have been turned off before removing? I mean, it couldn't be turned off since the touchscreen wasn't working. And when testing the new one, it didn't turn on (but the phone was on already since i could hear the volume buttons)
ESD gloves when working with delicate electronics such as mobile phones. I know this due to repairing Sony Mobile phone's in there repair centre in the UK. Had to even wear ESD wrist straps that was grounded and some on our shoes aswell.
@@itstiti30 that’s because it was not there to start with, looks like this screen was not the original, it was also missing the original adhesive at the back of the lcd panel, which makes the a fake repair video.
NEVER EVER touch an unprotected adhesive stripe with your (always greasy and dirty no matter what) fingers! It renders the stripe useless or at least A LOT weaker. Plus you must test the screen first, not use a metal blade...
Interesting how you only applied adhesive to the ends of the phone and not to the side or to the back of the LCD screen. When I went to replace the battery on my J5 2017 - the screen portion was glued to the area around the back of the battery and when trying to remove the LCD screen - it cracked. So had to get another screen on top of the battery that was being replaced.
Why do you use metal tools unnecessarily and interfere with the central frame? A simple plastic card or a similar tool is enough for this. And A sharp knife? He's just good at big grooves in the frame
Why did you say it in the picture of video it was for a sm-j530fn if it's says A5 at the beginning of your video that's a bit misleading however I did still watch it and liked the video as it was informative and hopefully the same way to do the J5 thanks anyway.
My display is also broken can you please send me the link...in ebay there ate alots of options my mobile is exectly the same you as yours. Please send me the link
I recently installed one and I have a question how can you fix the issue where there is a gap between the screen and the bezel of the frame. If you try to put pressure down in it you will risk cracking the screen. Which I have experienced. Someone told me that this is just how the aftermarket screens work they have a space in between and it is sitting down flush on the frame. Is there anyway to fix the space because I’m thinking if the phone were to be exposed to any water rain etc it will easily go into the phone. So should I fill up the gap with a lot of the b7000 adhesive? To block the spacing? Which then again will make the repair look untidy.
If that happened to me I would use clear silicon on it. That way if done correctly you will make it water tight a day it will still be able to be removed in the future should you find this necessary. Just a thought as to what I would do if this happened to me sorry it has happened to you.
Without a commentary there is nowhere near enough information here to actually do the job. For example: on using the heater, how hot, what kind etc? What's with the glue? Where can I get the necessary?
Long time since you posted the comment, but this can help others. I bought the LCD TFT first, not AMOLED, and it was a piece of garbage. It's 0.5 mm more thick than the amoled, so for me was impossible to glue it properly on the phone, light was coming from the sides of the phone. Some of this TFT screens can't manage bright adjustments either, so, I ended up buying the AMOLED screen, just 20€ more expensive that TFT on EBay. I'm going to glue it now, let's see what happens haha.
@@jedward3503 With AMOLED screen it just was smooth as silk. Some B-7000 glue and ready. Only bad thing about the screen I bought is that the brightness adjustment was too short, and too bright even when at minimal brightness, but my client was satisfied.
