@@BourbonJunkies can it really be (air quotes) special (air quotes) if I can go down to Total Wines any day of the week and get 2 bottles?..... asking for a friend...
Super happy I started watching you guys this year. I learned a ton. One of the coolest tips I picked up is that Eagle Rare is apparently easier to find in Michigan. I had a friend look around for me while she was visiting family what do you know! First ER bottle I got my hands on in quite a while. Not to mention all the other bottles I never would have thought to try if not for your vids. Very excited to see what you guys do in 2021! Thanks for making stellar content.
Thank you to this channel and to the 'Vault for allowing me to immerse myself in whiskey this year. No BS, you guys have improved my life a bit, and whiskeytube is now on regular rotation. Happy New Year, Eff The Old Year, I appreciate y'all, and one day I might hit like, hehehe
I agree with Dan (can't believe I said that sentence) in that the WT 17 year BiB is fantastic! Just has such a unique and rich flavor for a bourbon. Love the list, curious as to where you'd rank that bottle of Rebel Yell 10 year SiB in 2020? Cheers🥃have a happy new year!
Just bought a bottle of Larceny Barrel Proof for New Years. C920 was on shelf yesterday and gone today. Asked owner and he went to back and brought out a bottle. Just noticed is B520 which havent had either but, thanks bashing it. Kidding of course love your guys reviews honesty will see what I think of because love wheaters but, not regular Larceny.
My favorite part of this video is when you guys speculate how much you payed for the bottle of Hirsch while the price tag is prominently displayed on the front of the bottle. Kudos for nailing the price-point without even realizing the tag is there! My biggest disappointment this year was Four Roses Small Batch, I know it's not a limited edition or anything that special, but I hadn't tried it till recently. After going through several bottles of the Four Roses Single Barrel I thought I'd change it up and give the Small Batch a try. I discovered that it really doesn't agree with my palette. Really wish I'd just bough another bottle of the singe barrel cause they're basically the same price. Honestly, I'd take the regular Four Roses over the Small Batch.

Great video as always, have you guys ever reviewed Legent? If so which video was it in? I have been enjoying that alot and find it for like $34 pretty often
I got the Yellowstone LE 2020 as a birthday gift and enjoyed it a lot. With that price point it’s hard to be disappointed! Lol. Thanks guys! Glad I found your channel.
I'm absolutely #TeamSean on WTRB Rye. The complexity of the citrus layered on top of the pepper and a surprising amount of interplay between vanilla and rye spice is just great. And I personally think they nailed the the proof on this one.
Limited Edition Yellowstone absolutely biggest disappointment. Hirsch was complete trash. Thought it was Dickel in a blind. WT17BIB is my #4 best Bourbon this year. Four Roses Small Batch Barrel Strength Limited Edition was also a disappointment to me. It’s not bad whiskey but it wasn’t as good as any of the store pick 4RSiBBS picks I had this year and it should’ve been since it was 2.5x as much.
Im a Jim beam guy from way back. I've grown into better whiskeys and lean more towards the rye now so when i saw JB was pushing the rye i had to try it. For old times sake maybe but man was i disappointed. Huge bummer. It's obviously made the 51% to call itself a rye but come on man. It tasted like a bourbon all day. Put half in a mason jar with whole black peppercorns for 24 hours and it made it so much better. Going to use the other half and try and keep it in with the pepper for a few days sipping it every once and a while and see if i can make an infused rye that tastes better than the original. It was so bad. My favorite affordable rye so far is old Forrester. Definitely worth the $25. Sip it neat if you can. Has an awesome black pepper spice at the end. Thanks for making these. I sit in the liquor store parking lot watching them and trying to pick a new bottle based on your videos.
I am watching on NYE. .. MY disappointment was placing an order for an Old Forrester 1920 last night after seeing there was only 1 in stock, cheerfully getting in the car to go pick it up in the car and immediately being contacted to be informed that it was not actually in stock... 😩
Wasn’t able to get Larceny a120, Have B520 & C920 really like both. Don’t think I would rank as Whiskey of year (loved all ECBP) but it did very well when I put it against the Booker’s I have. Also earlier in year you gave the B520 a B-. Why so harsh now? After Whiskey Advocate award? The EC Rye was also on list. To quote Bill Burr “ I’m not saying but I’m just Saying”!!

At that point how much you paid is the question
Sean cool shirt I ordered one for my son. Thanks for the BJ 20% off coupon.
2:31 In a year of chronic strokes I didn’t think you could find a new version of one. But Dan had a momentary New York accent that would make the Mash and Drum proud. #teamsean
Didn't take his fish oil 🤣
There goes your chance to get an Old Forester pick. Nice list guys - cheers!
As we learned on @adhd whiskey push down hard and twist on the top of the crystal of the decanter for angels envy to be able to pick it up by the cork.
You answered my request immediately 🙌🏻🙌🏻 this new found power feels so good. Now best ryes of 2020!!!!! 😂
Dan, did you see where Rare Breed Rye ended up last night on Mash & Drum?? Lol
Definitely agree with you on the Larceny BP b520. It made me not look for c920
We'll still.be looking for the C, heard it was better than A
@@BourbonJunkies I guess I'll have to wait and see what you guys think about it
The 17 wild Turkey bald and bonded has deftly been or the best products this year
Watched on new years eve great selection of pours there. My worst pour of 2020 is rebem yell 100
Cool T-shirt, Sean. Also, Knox!
I’m with Sean on the KC15. Not that it is bad, but it is worse than every 13+ year store pick that I have had, plus it uses older stock that could be used for those picks.
The onw i had was bad. 0 sweetness, all dry oak
My most disappointing was blackened... $50+ i coulda put towards W.R. double oaked
If you twist the glass decanter top it will produce an air tight seal
And whisky advocate gave #2 their whisky of the year. And EC Rye made #5 I think
Yeah last year dickel bottled in bond was their number 1... We don't usually match up with them lol.
Loved Rare Breed Rye so I’d have to disagree there, and I would put the Elijah Craig Toasted Barrel on that list of most disappointing whiskeys for 2020 based on availability, price and taste.
What do you thing of Old Carters?
We've had a couple single barrels and ryes. Loved them, but the batch 5 didn't live up to the hype for us blind
Omg thank you, I feel vindicated because I was so disappointed by the Rare Breed Rye. I would add the Bardstown Destillaré to the list. Undrinkable.
Yea I bought that saint cloud batch 2....to me it was so bad I poured it down the drain...I couldnt stand the taste. 😬🥴
Good thing it's cheap... Oh wait
@@BourbonJunkies yea probably my worst bourbon purchase ever...fml
WT RB Rye was my favorite bourbon or rye this year. However I support any and all hate of it (much like OGD 114) so it stays on the shelf at a good price I can keep building my stash of overlooked deliciousness.
Thunder crash at OF150 killed me.
Biggest whiskey disappointment - Sean's score in the advent contest.
Best comment so far

Y’all definitely make enjoyable videos. Videos about bourbon should be fun. Some ppl take it way to serious. Bourbon is not a stuffy drink. Relax, have fun and enjoy a sip of America’s original spirit. Cheers
This is pretty much the backbone of why we started making content. Have a drink with a friend and have some fun.
Macallan rare cask no 2, disappointed with the finish
My birthday is this coming weekend if you guys had to pick one whiskey to get under 50 dollars what would it be
Rare breed
So I'm also going to the buffalo trace Distillery. I'm going to try to pick up an e.h taylor small batch. I'm pretty sure you guys have said it worth a buy
Oh for sure if you can find one well worth a pick up.
I hope the have them available for purchase when I go Friday.
Good luck and let us know what you find
I was surprised to see the rare breed rye on this list. That said, I will take a Traverse City barrel proof rye over it any day.
It's crazy how subjective taste is. Larceny B520 made the list of biggest disappointments but Whiskey Advocate had it literally #1 this year.
HH products are probably what we go against the grain of the whiskey community the most.
