My god I freaking love these games I remember I used to own Turok for the N64 I was playing it when I was a little boy but then my mom decided to take it away from me possibly lost it but then this game alongside its sequel called Turok 2 Seeds of Evil actually came out on the Switch I instantly bought it and had a lot of fun playing these fps games once again!
I remember playing these games on N64. I was considering buying it on steam. I'm glad I didn't. This game hurts my eyes, but I miss those days so much I'm gonna watch all of these videos.
Here's a blast from the past. I used to play this all the time at my cousin's house as a kid.
I always wanted to know how the old school Turok game looks like and ive finally got here after your Bioshock Let's Play.
The game looks a feels like Quake 2 for me. And I'm surprised of how well animated especially how ridiculous one of the death animation.
The platform jumping just gives me the PTSD from playing some of old games from PS1... I just couldn't put my finger on what game was it.
*17:17 Michael J Caboose's proud noises in the background.
First game I ever purchased with my own money. So much nostalgia...
I’m watching this because this game and it’s sequel is on the Switch!!!
Nice, outside-the-box choice here!
I am back. And it is still fantastic Mr.Fox. Also, dis FOV.... And this guy truly believes in nike air.
I used to play Turok evolution, great game
Oh i remember turok was nearly unplayable on my pentium with 350 MHz. Got something like 10 fps but i still played it. ^^
Oh man, this is the next Let's Play?
I can't say nostalgia factor is over nine thousand, but I just recently got my hands on a copy and started playing it. Music is a little buggy at times, but when it works it's fantastic. Cannot get a handle on the aiming and the way the jumping works to save my life!
Watching you play through this is going to be a blast. Looking forward to the rest of this!
I used to plat Turok evolution, great game
Man you really know the lore of the Turok series at least the first one, though the PC version is so weird and different compared to the n64 version.
007, Perfect Dark, Turok, Mario 64, StarFox 64, Zelda OOT, SSB, Conkers Bad Fur Day, Donkey Kong 64, Bomberman 64, WWF No Mercy. I picked the right child hood games
My list similar to yours but
❌ Bomberman
❌ WWF
❌ Donkey Kong
✔ Body Harvest
✔ Castlevania 64
✔ Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon 1 & 2
Starfox was fun as shit. Conker was amazing especially the multiplayer if you had brothers to play with. Donkey kong was cool too even though most people hate it I loved it. Mario was I think my first N64 game so it hits home the most for me
11:23 Forget the shells/bullets, I want to complain about the game referring to magazines as clips. :3
I know I remember Turok from somewhere, even the fact that his name isn't Turok sounds familiar, but I honestly couldn't tell you if it had to do with one of the comics or one of the games. Looks like fun though.
Oh man, this is gonna be an awesome series. Turok 2 in the future?
+Paul Coleman I've never actually played Turok 2, but I might decide to pick it up and play it in the future. =)
+FrozenFoxy What he said, those were my thoughts exactly. I hope you do Turok 2, I only played it within the last year and loved it. I think you'd do some really interesting commentary, the potential is there. The levels are huge each with a completely different back story and antagonist, it gets kind of ridiculous but is a lot of fun. They don't make them like that anymore that's for sure.
Turok 3 ain't bad either.
When I was a kid, I remember playing this game as if it was related to Dino-Riders.
+Siluel Well, they certainly are a bit similar. =)
Man, I was not expecting you to play this game.
1:54 - I swear it sounds like they are saying "you broke, the law". lol
13:30 - Actually if I recall you can use the Particle Accelerator, charge it all the way and it can effect them.
+Themanwithn0eyes Definitely not something I've ever tried. By the time I get the Particle Accelerator... I don't believe there are any monkeys I ever remember coming across any longer. I'd experiment if I ever had it while a monkey was around knowing that, though. Heh.
good job on the video, you earned a sub.
Oh man I think he misses a semi auto shotgun I'm pretty you can get it right before you get the regular shotgun it's close to where you get the second key
I had this game for N64. I didn't know I could get it for PC. Awesome video as always Foxy :)
Holy crap this is the original PC port with those unbelievably bad (non-remappable) controls. If I recall correctly:
arrow keys to walk and turn
no mouse support
comma and period to strafe
J to jump
CTRL to shoot
number keys and W/S to change weapon
All true unless you have patching or file editing capabilities. This one is patched to allow mouse usage. =p
@@FrozenFoxy I wish I had known how to to that back in the day. The game was almost impossible to control otherwise.
It most definitely helps with the gameplay! There's also a remastered one on Steam now. =)
I remember a mate of mine doing a LP of this and it's sequels. All on the hardest difficulty and completed. Good times, really entertaining.
I bought Nintendo 64 just for this game. But i was never able to finish it. Thanks for playing and sharing.
turok?! say whaaaaaaaaat?
Hey you know you get alot more health out of deer and boar when you shoot them. The most is via shotty
Omg, the electric cloud doesn't kill you? I was so scared to lose a life in there 😅
Hey FrozenFoxy have you ever heard of the game Dungeon Master?
+NoahPlays Well, when you mentioned it... it made me think of Dungeon Keeper. I'm not sure I've heard of it before... but looking at pictures, looks like a dungeon crawler.
+FrozenFoxy That would be a fairly accurate description... I would really recommend you give it a try, especially dungeon master 2.
+NoahPlays I don't know that I'll ever get the chance... so many many games to play... it's hard to keep up with even a few. I mean... in 6 years I've played perhaps 100 for the channel... and that isn't even technically a tenth of what I own. Yeesh. Gonna take forever to get to all this stuff! XD
+FrozenFoxy Haha I get it, but if you're ever wondering what to do for a let's play maybe consider DM2, but hey thats just my 2 cents worth
+NoahPlays It'll probably be quite awhile before that... I've got plans that'll probably last years. I might do something in the future to let people make requests, but I haven't thought of how I want to go about that yet. We'll see.
Woah...now that is something that came out before me :D Looks fun though.Speaking about Turok, wasn't there a Turok game which came out 6-7 years ago? Also, can we condsider this something like ''30 Years of FrozenFoxy Special'' or is it just a coinsidence? :D
+Jentaroo Hah, just a coincidence. I honestly didn't even think of that being a thing! Also, yes, there was a new Turok game in 2008. Wow, hard to believe that was 7 years ago... hard to believe I started doing LPs 6 years ago in 2009 come to think of it...
FrozenFoxy Damn right it is hard to believe.6 years ago on a beautiful day in the end of August I was looking for some TDS gameplay on UA-cam because i was 10 years old and I knew like 150-200 words in English and i couldn't figure out how to finish the 1st mission...well that day changed my life.
+Jentaroo Yeah, I've noticed you around for quite awhile... there are names that bring up memories when they comment. You're one of them. =p
+FrozenFoxy I will just say I remember the days when you had like 5-6 views max on your videos...the very first channel I subscribed to.I've been here since your first LP and I'll hopefully be here to see the last....which I hope I won't see in the next 50 years or so.Hah :P
P.S. For everyone who saw the unedited version of the comment,I have no idea how that happened :D
+Jentaroo Well, there's no end in sight yet... but some day. Heh.
I can't believe 2015 was 5 years ago... wtf
I remember having to borrow a PC from a friend to play Turok, since the game only ran on 3Dfx GPUs.I guess it was 1997, can't remember..
The graphic is epic for that time, contesting Quake, but the trade off, draw distance, is a complete garbage :)
+Nemanja Mašković Yeah, my disc is actually specifically designed for Voodoo GPUs if I recall correctly. I'd have to look at the disc again... it has it written all over it. Had to combine the disc with some files from the Abandonia version to make it function on Windows 7. Heh.
+FrozenFoxy Just use the remaster and it looks even much better. And the community does even make highres Textures for it.

ow not the remastered game :-/
Why just "normal" skill? It is very easy on there.
The sound is very loud, just so you know.
+outerik90 I did my best to turn it down, the game is a bit of a pain to work with for sound as it resets the sound from save to save. It's funky. It should be at least somewhat better by the second or third level. Ah well.
Never played it, so would not know.
did you know there is a semi auto shotgun at 9:16 you just need to climb the wall
+Ozzy EatsPandas Yeah. When I got excited about the portal, I forgot the key and the secret. I talk about it during level 2 and show it as well.
The More You Know
have you ever played Dont Starve?
+Anne Timmreck No, but I've seen my wife play it quite a bit recently.
It's an awesome game, haha. You should give it a try.
So will you also play seeds of evil?
+admiralalex1000 Don't know. I neither own it nor have I ever played it before... so there's no nostalgia factor there for me. Doesn't mean I won't, just that I don't have the means at this point or any specific plans.
First wow that was fast. Second thanks for responding. I might have missed it but are you using a keyboard for this?
+admiralalex1000 Well, I try to reply to questions when I can. Yes, it's a keyboard and mouse setup. I'm not that great with controllers to begin with... and without a map, Turok is all but impossible to play with a controller. There's a major need for looking down to make sure you get through jumps OK if you don't have a map available... and the controller isn't precise enough for looking down while jumping. Heh.
+FrozenFoxy Ok got it.
+FrozenFoxy You really really should play it. Its considered the best turok - and it definitely is.
зашибись игра!
Watching you walk back and forth, doing nothing at all, for 5 minutes while you talked about other LPers isn't exactly riveting content.
+AnonymousxSource I count ten seconds. Do you live near a black hole or in an alternate reality?
Are you serious? Another great game by the Fox of Frost?!
