I'm happy that you liked it that much, and thank you kindly for your subscription!!, and yes, Curse of darkness is one of those hidden gems that PS2 has, it's a great game, (but I didn't finish it yet xD, I have to finish first Bloodstained Ritual of the Night).
About the Netflix series, I really hope that Hector finally gets the spotlight, come on, they can't just simply let him be a simple slave, he IS the DEVIL FORGEMASTER, I really hope that in season 4 he gets stronger (and somehow the events of Curse Of Darkness begin), and not become a toyboy to a vampire lady.
yeah brother, is all good i like support channels who clearly have a soul to it, also if they are small just like mine (small in numbers i mean)
about Curse of darkness, it truly is such underrated game in many aspects, it amazing Combat mechanics which honestly i find even more enjoyable than DMC games and most of others hack n slash ( and i love DMC - CAPCOM games)
but there is something that is very solid about CV such lament of innocence & CV Curse of dark in term of structure that was just very ahead of it's time
and it sades me to be how under appreciated and nearly forgotten it is
when most people this days think that Dark souls and Bloodborne combat is the most revolutionary thing ever in game
most people they just had no idea of how truly ground breaking awesome the combat is been in many of the 3Dmensional Castlevania titles
now despite the fact that i grew up in the golden NES and SNES era of Castlevania hold as my dearest video game franchie of all times
i also have HUGE appreciation for all 3DVANIAS, i love 2D and 3D alike
i been calling serious BS whenever people has the need on trashing a 3D vania only cos is not a Metroidvania
i understand that Metroidvanias style will always be great and extremely addicting
shit i adore Simon's Quest which in my eyes will always be the very first of it's kind, the very first metroidVania that ever happened and also many didn't gave it the credit that deserved
but, i also love Castlev such CV64, CV LAMENT, CV CURSE and CV LORDS OF SHADOW SAGA as a whole
is only probably judgement that only 3D vania i did not took too seriously..
but i can say i love CV1,2,3,4 with same love i do CV64,LOi,COD,LOS
but anyway i totally suggest you that if you ever get the chance to play Curse of darkness, get it again
and played thoroughly
My only complaints about Curse is that the ending felt a bit rushed and it could have been handled better
Hector should have never defeated Dracula solo, it should have been him and Trevor and even Julia appearing at the end of the final boss fight to assist him
following that same type of spirit like in CV3 Dracula's curse

Of course someday i´ll beat Curse Of Darkness, as a whole game is an excellent experience, the problem is that DMC and Dark Souls are more famous and more accesible to new (and more casual) players, (i myself love DMC games too xD), and dark souls is a complete tribute to old games, in which skill really matters and not other factors.
Castlevania tried to innovate in many ways, but it was always foreshadowed by many other popular games that people lost interest in this franchise, because of it's high difficulty and "bad implementation" to 3D dimensions, (of course these are just excuses, same happens with Dark Souls, for most people high and challenging difficulty = bad game, of course this isn't true).
At least Castlevania nowadays is not dead, Koji Igarashi and his team keeps it alive thanks to BloodStained, hope it really goes well for them, and of course, same to you :).
i do like Bloodstained, but i do not see it as a CV game like many keep saying
to me that last CV title will always be LOS1, MIRROR OF FATE, LOS 2 and THE LECARD CHRONICLES which payed homage to all CV timelines
still do not get me wrong, after i played Bloodstained i grew to liked more due to how fun it's combat was and i even started a No damage playthrough side project for it
but honestly even with certain flaws i did enjoyed Lecard Chronicles 1 and 2 a hell of alot much more
especially the sequel which it felt more refined
now about CV Curse of Dark, there is many customizeble alternatives to make it for a very harsh and Challenging game to play
even harder than Demon's souls games to be frank
i actually love to do what i call the NO XP, PERMANENT LEVEL 9 RUN
which goes around getting as fast is possible the brooch of bounding which keeps HECTOR from earning XP
then you ll have to do the whole game at level 9, in addition i do not use any armor that raises defense so enemies with do GREAT damage to you especially later on, on higher level areas
also if you choose putting away your INNOCENT DEVIL, then trust me
things can get very VERY crazy
not mention if you doing this run on CRAZY difficulty which every mistake will get you killed..
i have the intentions to do a series such this eventually on my channel
will also love to do a similar treatment for all 3D vanias since i already do a series from my personal dearest classic vanias of the NES & SNES era

I played this over the Scissors fight from Paper Mario: Origami King, and I was scared the whole time, knowing it was capable of instant-death attacks; this music fit perfectly. 😎👍
