got the chance to see Subfiltronik last week at Northern Invasion and he blew me away even with the subs being blown out during his set! He opened with this song and I've never heard the crowd go so wild . Even after all the billions of remixes of Blockz the original still does the most damage. It was like hearing Skrillex drop Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites
So fucked man, I missed out on this wave after kind of drifting away from the scene after like 2012ish. Just kept listening to the oldies not following anything new, and I missed a fairly sick movement imo. Something about these synths, just makes me feel awful dread and I absolutely love it
This was it's own era tbh man. That era is pretty much over, now it's all about color and happiness. Maybe this sound will get back on it's feet sometime again.
@@elliotberg4572 No it's not, Riddim is still rocking hard, I would say somewhat even harder than it used to. Infekt, Chibs, Automhate, Akeos or Hukae are imo some of the best Riddim producers atm and they all keep puting out bangers. Apart from that, a lot of Subfiltronik's tracks are just pure classic like this one and keep getting played at Dubstep or Riddim shows I go to nowadays.
@@silverkip2992 Some riddim is not for me, but some definitely is and I'm glad, if what you say is true, that it overtakes brostep. Get that shit the fuck out of here, no one took it where Rusko was trying to take it anyways so they all failed in my eyes xD

@CasualDude Coki and skream may have started riddim but never realised it. Original dubstep was probably riddim../ish. Commercial dubstep in 2011 was really what took it away from riddim for a while because not everyone enjoys raw dubstep. So they threw in some illuminati sounding popish dubstep songs to get the followings up. Dont get me wrong I still love the old melodic ukf dubstep songs. Then riddim came back in 2013 with guys like subfiltronik//aweminus//getter etc .. it separated the real dubsteppers from the molly driven edm fucks. Thats my outlook anyways..
@@mattmackenzie7168 Could not have said this better myself! This was the beginning of modern Riddim. This track would influence Brostep composers to fuse Riddim and Brostep into today’s Briddim scene.
