I'm 67 and have the same feeling about this video as Jon W. Age is irrelevant. I simply consider myself a 're-cycled teenager' and anything that keeps my mind young (as Steps does), is fine by me.

I love when older folks are open to music, or new things in general. I mean we all know the "this generation of music" types even though these older generations who where teens in the 60's, 70's and 80's had their parents and older generations telling them their music sucks (rock, punk, synthpop etc.)
I love music of all types and generations, and I hope to be like that forever. Music is timeless and if you look hard enough there will be music in every generation that appeals to you and thanks for realising that!

But still in their reunion she is still selfish because she thinks she can do better solo and has the greater voice of all the 5 of them. And i don't think there will be another album after this one since they only made this one for STEPS 20th anniversary i think. And it would be better if fans watch their reunion.It's sad though, i'm a fan who's looking forward to their new music.

Everyone had their own solo project in various fields during Steps hiatus. Being popstar isn't their 24/7 job anymore like they used to do...

You guys have no idea how much this comeback means to me. They were my life back in the late 90s and early 2000s. When they disbanded I was left broken. And now that they have reunited - with an amazing single and album to match, I feel like the world is good again.
I've been a fan since their very first appearance. This is such an incredible song for so many reasons. Can't get it out of my head. The key-change towards the end is a stroke of genius. 25yrs on, they've still got "it". If anything, they are ever more polished.
Even my 11yr old son likes them and hums the chorus around the house!

After so many ups and downs, still STEPS make real good music. The band has been through a lot of challenges, yet, here they are... doing what they love most! Bringing good music to people. Every member of STEPS plays an important role. Their voices jive together! Kudos for Claire, I was surprised she lost so much weight! Very disciplined!

Yes, we all know that Claire and Faye have stronger voices but the attitutude of Lee, H and lovely Lisa also contribute to the band. YES! Finally a video release. I think the release schedule was a bit late (for promo/chart effect?) but that doesn't take away that this is (for me) their absolute BEST track to date.
But today isn't 90's anymore, and this is not KPop. Many artists release the song first then official video later...
I wasn't putting it as an critique (comparing to 90's or even referencing Kpop?). Just the (general) idea behind a video is for "promo" purposes ;) A video is a great bonus, that's all, if if they wanted (chance of) bigger exposure from the start. But as I wrote: it is not affecting me personally, I'm glad there is a video to add to the catalogue. Loved the song from first listen. Only wanted best result for Steps, that's all. But it's their choice, their schedule ... no biggie. Only hopes & wishes :D

Tbh the production team writing and mixing the songs were fantastic. Hit nail on the head every time. Great east listening pop songs performed by a bunch of good looking girls and Sarah Hardings lead vocals were sublime, love the contributions especially in girls aloud songs. By Cheryl and Nadine. I cannot Believe that This track is 5 Years old back in April and I missed it by a whole month! So Steps are warming Me Up for Little Mix which will be played at around 5:30pm after Rod, Justin and Zara who will be next. So Scared of the Dark gets the late special 900/900 from me on it's 5th birthday.
Steps are one of a kind as they were able to make their mark in an era dominated by boy bands.
I didn't ever like Steps before, but I must admit I can't stop listening to this. It's a frickin' BANGER! The rest of the album is good as well
I only discovered this video in 2020 and it is so good that I would like to have this track on repeat but I am running low on time as I must wrap up for the night in the next 14 minutes. So Scared Of The Dark gets the usual 300/300 from me.
