@@kyle2kyletroii I'm used to AC's parkour being very automatic & not based on player skill e.g. easily crossing a tight-rope just by clicking the move forward key. I would like to see them improve it but I doubt it will happen.
Hope the bloat is scaled down a lot. I'm worried if the length is between odyssey and valhalla. Maybe not in Shadows but going forward the devs should focus of handcrafted main story and equal length handcrafted side content with great mocap like indiana jones and the great circle along with AC's great parkour and combat mechanics, about 40 - 60 hrs of game time is enough. That would be a great experience in my opinion.
And I totally agree with you and would personally love to experience something like that. I guess currently, at least among other Open World games, only Rockstar Games can provide such quality but let's hope others catch up too!
I will always stand by odyssey as the best of the AC series but this game just may take the number one spot in my opinion. Im glad the devs decided to delay it until feb it was the right move.
Well well well…and all we had to do was publicly shame Ubisoft and bring the company close to bankruptcy and bam: we get a solid Assassin’s Creed game.
Glad to see you already picked your main character! There's gonna be tons of different activities for Naoe that's gonna make us feel like an Assassin and that's why I'm so excited to pick her up mostly for my playthrough as well!
Ah yes the game about a retainer (not samurai) that wants to be a samurai, the game about a black man killing Japanese people. Ubisoft is cooked, cant wait for them to sell to tensent so that we can get better games
Because the problem with this game is not Naoe. Naoe is a character that make sense in her role. That's why probably. Having a black guy assassinating asians though in a country full of asians and then they don't know who he is. That's just hilarious. Let's not mention the historical inaccuracies.
@@mrawesome1688 This is a good point but maybe they will have a way of making it make sense in the story. E.g. you're kind of suggesting there will be a reaction from the population e.g. a mob might try to overwhelm & execute him for being a "foreign demon". Maybe that will be part of the story?
You know everyone was begging for samurai for ac but I thought it would suit the game “assassins” creed more if they went with ninjas you know…. To sneak around and assassinate 🤷♂️
I understand that when this game was announced people had problems about it being "woke", but im not exactly sure that the game receiving improvements is a way to justify hating it even more.
It's not about hating it. It's about placing the only black african guy in Japan at the time in the role of an assassin who's supposed to first of all not to stand out from the crowd ajd second of all why not choose a Japanese person since this game is supposedly representing Japanese Culture? Take out all the hate and racism and this game still does not make sense.
Although 'Boss Dueling is cool.. I hope that the regular Game Rivals are programmed to surround the Protagonist(s) during !!Alert!!.. I'm not really too happy with seeing too much 1 on 1 combat.. I feel there needs to be more roaming/interactive Rival Npc in locales.. Players need to feel the intensity of CQC whenever caught.. With a few more Rivals placed in each locales it will help to surround the stronger YASUKE as well as to further induce NAOE's reliance on stealth Yet overall Both will have equal chance for combat. (Perhaps Difficulty Setting can cover This?)
@TheTrueSeal Because developers have already spoken about it. In an AC game being forced into combat is already just garbage from a story perspective. Literally the opposite of an Assassin lmao.
@JustxLiving909 it probably just stems from the fact I'm from the Caribbean and I guess I'm just bored with anything dealing with the ocean. I won't lie it was a beautiful game. Just didn't do it for me. Same with any of them after that had naval combat. Tried to avoid it as much as possible

@@whooves9976 As you wish. Let me first state that I'm not defending Ubisoft in any way. With that out of the way, we're basically not owning 'almost' any of the digital games we are purchasing through the digital store fronts. (Steam, Epic Games Store, Ubisoft Connect, etc.) We're basically acquiring the license to play the game on a specific platform. This means the publisher or the storefront can revoke our access to the game whenever they want (of course that 'when' refers to the moment when we as customers break any of their laws which we have accepted through their license agreement). The same goes with some physical copies of the games too (especially those that require constant internet connection) but there are some rare exceptions like how GoG treats its customers or how DRM free titles are released, allowing you to play your games offline and etc. TL;DR: it's not a Ubisoft thing, it's a universal thing. We don't own any of the games we're buying, we're just acquiring the license to play them.
@@TheTrueSeal You’re absolutely correct that most digital games work on a licensing model, but that doesn’t mean we, as consumers, have to just accept it. Platforms like GoG, which sell DRM-free games, demonstrate that companies can respect true ownership if there’s enough demand for it. Supporting these alternatives sends a clear message to the industry. GoG’s unique selling point is that it allows you to truly "own" your games, just like having a physical disc with its own installer file. Unlike Steam or Ubisoft Connect, GoG games are DRM-free, so you can download standalone installers and play your games without needing any launcher or internet connection. By choosing platforms like GoG, buying physical copies, or simply not buying games from publishers with anti-consumer practices, we can push back against the erosion of ownership in the gaming industry. So, while this might be a “universal” issue in the digital market, we still have the power to push for change by choosing where to spend our money. Which is why I won’t buy from Ubisoft.
@@CorpseHall There's a video on the channel explaining the new parkour elements but TL;DR: They have implemented dodging & crouch into parkour, allowing us to press (or hold) their dedicated buttons mid parkour to perform new moves!
I genuinely enjoyed Mirage. Finished it 100%. And I despise Origins, Valhalla and Odyssey. I don't understand why AC game needs RPG elements. And I hope Shadows will be more like AC1, AC2, Mirage etc
I understand why you prefer the action adventure ACs and while Shadows will share lots of similarities to the RPG trilogy, it will also lean toward action games of the series as well.
Shadows is gone be like origin an I beat all three of the RPG the one I like most is odyssey but Valhalla connects all the dots if u a long time fan who love the lore
I doubt it. Enemies look like dmg sponges with no reactions to being hit, as per Mirage (which has the worse combat in any game I've ever played), Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla.
The enemy AI has seen significant improvements in Shadows. For instance, when they are attacking our character in a large group, they will strike more frequently. However, if we reduce their numbers, they will adopt a defensive strategy. But you're right and the enemies still feel spongy, since the game incorporates RPG elements similar to the RPG trilogy Assassin's Creed titles.
I will not touch Yasuke in this game. Even if the game heavily recommends it, as long as im not forced to i wont. No offense to black people, i wouldnt have wanted a white main character for origins, just like i dont want a black main character for an AC in japan and im not gonna be afraid to say it. These are video games, not controversial opinions.
You’re absolutely entitled to your preference not to play as Yasuke, but what do you mean by "These are video games, not controversial opinions"? Video games are a form of art, and art has historically been a medium for exploring social, cultural, and political themes. Some of the most iconic games (like those by Hideo Kojima) tackle political and philosophical issues head on and this doesn’t diminish their quality or purpose.
Actually both of them apparently are in the game, and they showcased some of it in the first gameplay trailer as well. Even the first few leaks suggested that the combat is going to be the most brutal in the series.
oh now everyone love the game or are hype for it but when it first got announced everyone was nitpicking and bashing the game because of a black samurai when they have barely see what the game fully has to offer jokes ssss
The hate was always way too forced. Tho nitpicking over the technical state of the game (animations looking clunky, combat feeling floaty, etc.) was necessary imo.

_"This will be nothing more than boring repetitive shite."_ I love all the fortune tellers judging it as bad before it's released. @ it’s really not, the rpg creeds have gotten progressively worse. It’s not what fans wanted or ever did. They could have listened and made a unity that wasn’t plagued with issues. We were wrong to complain about unity knowing now what they’d do as a response. Assassins creed used to be up there with all the AAA games. Now it’s a joke. They don’t care about their fans and it shows in their product. Plus, have you seen the people that run the AC side of unity? It’s completely nonsense
@ plus maybe respect Japanese culture instead of modern bs politics? We shouldn’t have gotten two characters, it’s gonna make the story laughably weak. We should have just gotten the girl as the protagonist and they should have fleshed her out. If you can’t see how shallow this game will be, I pity yoy

There's still a lot we don't know about the gear items, but since he's more of a warrior with less focus on stealth and has an honorable way of fighting, I doubt he would want to hide his identity like Assassins, but hey I may be totally wrong!
I cant wait. The only one thing i hope for that this CARTOON-ISH effect when we use abilities is an option we can turn off in the options menu...
That's one of the things I already don't like about Shadows. They said there's no option to turn it off but I assume they will add an option later on with an update.
@TheTrueSeal I really hope so because its a dealbreaker for me. I dont gonna buy the game if it stays like that.
@@thebee2685 the effect only appears once we take down important targets, but yeah I don't like it either
If the game is this good after it releases then i'm buying it. I have most of the newer assassins creed and barely played them.
That's a great decision honestly. Wait for a few reviews to see whether the game holds up to the expectations or not + see if it has minimal technical issues or not and then decide to spend your money on it!
will there be new game + finally?
Wdym
Ubisoft has not yet confirmed it, but I suspect they might add it to the game later on.
it actually looks really good i just wish the parkour was better. adding flips instead of an actually deep system bothers me
Can't wait to see parkour's improvements! Oh and I hope the flips are manual...
@ seriously. if i have to watch naoe flip every time she does a 5 foot jump im gonna lose my mind
Odyssey was a great game tbh. Hope Shadows surpasses it in every imaginable way!
No snakes? About damn time!
haha, I know right!
Well well well…and all we had to do was publicly shame Ubisoft and bring the company close to bankruptcy and bam: we get a solid Assassin’s Creed game.
Hope Shadows turns out good
Odessy was my favorite but this one might comptete with it.
This might actually top every RPG Creed!
I'm pretty much gonna take naoe for most game since i feel she is more like an assassin
Glad to see you already picked your main character! There's gonna be tons of different activities for Naoe that's gonna make us feel like an Assassin and that's why I'm so excited to pick her up mostly for my playthrough as well!
Awesome video! if we can't go through Naoe's challenges with Yasuke or vice versa, are there challenges we can complete with both of them?
Thank you! Yes, there will be quests/activities that can be done with either character.
Who also read on 0:08: "Hi, we are broke,...."😂😂😂
🤯
Ah yes the game about a retainer (not samurai) that wants to be a samurai, the game about a black man killing Japanese people. Ubisoft is cooked, cant wait for them to sell to tensent so that we can get better games
Curious to know why you didn't mention Naoe in your comment.
Did not mention here coz she is a fictional character, yaske is not
Because the problem with this game is not Naoe.
That's why we have Naoe!
I understand that when this game was announced people had problems about it being "woke", but im not exactly sure that the game receiving improvements is a way to justify hating it even more.
Hating it always seemed way too forced to me 🤷♂️
It's not about hating it. It's about placing the only black african guy in Japan at the time in the role of an assassin who's supposed to first of all not to stand out from the crowd ajd second of all why not choose a Japanese person since this game is supposedly representing Japanese Culture? Take out all the hate and racism and this game still does not make sense.
Naoe ftw, I'm not playing as yasuke, its not racism it's cultural appropriation and I want to play as a native
While you're free to play with either character, there will be dedicated missions for each of them as well.
With a few more Rivals placed in each locales it will help to surround the stronger YASUKE as well as to further induce NAOE's reliance on stealth
Yet overall Both will have equal chance for combat. (Perhaps Difficulty Setting can cover This?)
While your concern is valid, there are lots of fights in the game with multiple enemies, similar to older games of the series.
@TheTrueSeal - 👍 thank you. Long Live Ubisoft
Graphics 9/10
Stealth with Naoe 8/10
Story 0/10
Stealth with Yasuske 0/10
Forced to play a samurai in an AC game 0/10
how do you know anything about the story when the game is not even released yet?
@TheTrueSeal Because developers have already spoken about it. In an AC game being forced into combat is already just garbage from a story perspective. Literally the opposite of an Assassin lmao.
But yall were fine with playing as a pirate in black flag tho
@@Bojaxxxevery ac forces u into combat😭😭😭
@@purplenurple8816 let me clarify. Developers stated that you will have to play a Samurai. Why would I want to do that? I'll go buy a samurai game.
Yes it's good 👍
Agreed!
I'll like this one. Only AC I didn't like was black flag
Why didn't you like Black Flag?
@TheTrueSeal i thought it was gonna be fun at first but after awhile I realized I just don't like any type of ship combat.
@@kobaltblue9081weird most people favorite is black flag and the naval combat is the best in the AC universe imo
@JustxLiving909 it probably just stems from the fact I'm from the Caribbean and I guess I'm just bored with anything dealing with the ocean. I won't lie it was a beautiful game. Just didn't do it for me. Same with any of them after that had naval combat. Tried to avoid it as much as possible
imma simple dude, a lot of these gamers complaining bro i play thr game to have fun not to analyse every single thing. just appreciate the fact we get to slice people or play as a huge black dude who blitz through everything and everyone. be simple the game shouldn’t make you be mad 😂 no game is perfect unless its rdr2 or ghost of Tsushima
That's an interesting point of view 😁👍
Agreed people are such pussies, just play the damn game and live your life these goddamn activists 😂
Ubisoft told me to be comfortable not owning their games. I’m gonna be very comfortable not buying this.
Who's going to inform this person?
@@TheTrueSeal Since you bothered commenting, why don’t you ?
@@TheTrueSeal
You’re absolutely correct that most digital games work on a licensing model, but that doesn’t mean we, as consumers, have to just accept it.
@@whooves9976 I absolutely agree with you on supporting GoG and similar practices.
Awesome vid!
Thank you!
Wish Naoe didn’t flip on every ledge jump jesus lol
The flips are mostly manual
@ how so? he’s pressing a different button to flip how do you know?
@@CorpseHall There's a video on the channel explaining the new parkour elements but TL;DR: They have implemented dodging & crouch into parkour, allowing us to press (or hold) their dedicated buttons mid parkour to perform new moves!
@ oh that’s dope then i like the sound of that lol
bro youre sound is so familiar for me. May i ask where are you from ?
Australia my dude, where are you from?

AI is making games better
AI as in the enemy/NPC AI?
They must change the main character
No.
Please put more black fits in the game
Can't wait to see the armor variation in the game!
Origins was way better then mirage over all but I liked mirage for the stealth
Shadows is gone be like origin an I beat all three of the RPG the one I like most is odyssey but Valhalla connects all the dots if u a long time fan who love the lore
@@Swavae Absolutely agreed.
@@Grandtemplar305 This is correct and that's one of the reasons I love Valhalla so much.
Why no decapitation or dismemberment like in Valhalla?
Actually both of them apparently are in the game, and they showcased some of it in the first gameplay trailer as well. Even the first few leaks suggested that the combat is going to be the most brutal in the series.
DAY ONE 🔥
Same!
oh now everyone love the game or are hype for it but when it first got announced everyone was nitpicking and bashing the game because of a black samurai when they have barely see what the game fully has to offer jokes ssss
The hate was always way too forced. Tho nitpicking over the technical state of the game (animations looking clunky, combat feeling floaty, etc.) was necessary imo.
It's not hate first of all. This game is just sinoky out of context and doesn't make sense. Don't know what everyone is saying at the comments personally. I m still not buying it. I don't hate it. Just this game won't do it for me and not because it's a black assassin but because it's a black assassin in Japan.
TRUST ME THE Gaameplay features will be the least of ur problems if u are a PC player, if u don't have an rtx card with at least 12g u will suffer a whole lot, its already obvious how janky the animations are, I'm telling u the performance will suck
Good thing that I have a 12Gb Vram card then. Seriously tho, Nvidia needs to fix the Vram issue with the 50 series...
@@TheTrueSeal Yep they sure do but it's not only vram, it's the gaming engine it's so bad the unreal engine 5 is so bad to look at Silent Ill that game could easily run at 120 fps on the RTX 4080, but instead,d it runs at (50~-60)
@@AngellOfDeathh I'm definitely not a game dev, but I believe part of the problem also falls to the game optimization as well. Nevertheless, I have my fair share of concerns over The Witcher 4 being a UE5 game right now lol.
@@TheTrueSeal yep, at this point im just gonna keep call of duty and FIFA and well optimized online games because I'm tired of bad games to be honest I remember loving playing triple A games but now I don't give a shit about anyof them expect for sony games like spiderman and god of war because those games are well optimized for the PC and also the tomb raider series but every other game is shit

February is a tough month for us gamers with this game, KCD2 and MH Wilds dude 😭
I dondt like the idea of only female character as assassins... for this it may be that im not going to play the game...
There's a second protagonist, who is a male and his name is Yasuke.
@TheTrueSeal but its not a real assassin
nah im just gonna buy ghost of yotei
Great choice tbh
Short answer is no. This will be nothing more than boring repetitive shite. They even have a no brain mode for when you are too stupid to make your own decisions.
lol
_"This will be nothing more than boring repetitive shite."_
I love all the fortune tellers judging it as bad before it's released. I'm seriously thinking of buying Ubisoft shares because the public has a lot of negative opinions like this which is pushing down the share price but the AC franchise is consistently strong & they have delayed it to polish it so it will probably do well causing the share price will rise.
I'm liking what I see but it's Ubisoft so it'll probably be shit.
How can you like something that's probably shit then?
Still not buying it. It will 100% be a fail
lol, how can anyone be so certain about anything?
If the game play ain't like valhalla/oddesy? It's 🗑🗑🗑🗑 that old assassin's creed gaming is played out. Stealthy nonesense. Why have a skill tree if you gotta sneak around? I grew my skill tree to whop ass.
Dude 😂😂😂 stfu anything but those two games.. the gameplay in the newer assassins creed games are lacking, in order for this game to feel fluid it has to be similar to ghost of Tsushima/god of war r
@colocobardio1711 how tf you gonna tell me what to like? I said what I said cuz those are the only games I liked from AC catalog. So you stfu dude.
It's gonna be an advanced version of Odyssey/Valhalla so we're in for a treat!

We need a gayest game that replace this lame title

No, it doesn’t. Trash game from trash team. If only it was the og team of developers.
This is just hate for the sake of hate. Yes they’re a trash untrustworthy company but they’re also on their last legs. the company might be bought out and that essentially is the end of Ubisoft and we can assume it’ll get worse so shadows is probably gonna be pretty good on the fact they’re refining it. it’s also ninjas and samurai’s I’m sorry but this and ghost of yotei are my most anticipated games of 2025 and probably for a lot of people too
@ it’s really not, the rpg creeds have gotten progressively worse.
If you can’t see how shallow this game will be, I pity yoy
lol, there are people from the OG team still working on this game.
@@TheTrueSeal please enlighten me to the percentage. And try telling me that lgbt wildebeest that was the lead director of Valhalla was always there. Oh you can’t? It shows.
