@@n00ber420 ok asshat. I watched it for 7 days straight. I start the semi’s after the quarter’s, and after the last 16, etc. The next video is there when you are done and the title is an immediate spoiler.
That foul didn't make sense either way. The ref didn't look closer and call the balls frozen or not, seems like that should have been done. The cue ball doesn't move straight forward but it does move forward. From the the thousands of masse shots I've taken you can tell when you double hit the cue ball, the path of the cue ball and the spin change from the double hit. That looked too clean to be a double hit
I have been arguing this for years I can hit that shot without a double hit and it sometimes goes out 2 feet before it draws back. They need a slow mo camera to show if it’s a double hit or not, most players can feel and hear the double hit and will call it on themselves. I’m sure by sky’s reaction it was not a double hit and he knew it. Would love to see dr pool or somebody do a video on this and send it out there to all these referees!! The cue ball is off the felt during and after contact so backspin doesn’t matter and of course it’s going to continue forward till it lands. Simple but hard to prove.
That ref does snooker as well, and it's called a push shot there. At that distance the ball has to go forward and it HAS to be a push shot or foul. The only way to play that is with really soft hands, almost like holding your cue like a dart and poking at the ball. Mike Massey showed how this is done. It's still really hard to do, and the only way to avoid it is play safety, away from the ball at an angle.
What makes it a double hit? The fact the object ball is present? Is it not possible to perform that same shot on the cue WITHOUT an object ball present. In that case the cue ball would still travel forward until the masse backspin took hold. I'm sure everyone has had that experience while practicing masse shots. The ball always moves forward some, then back. But how do you double hit the cue ball in a case like that if you use this metric of the cue ball traveling forward is the indication of a foul.

9:07 If 9 ball isn't easy, why do the keep changing the rules to make it harder? 4" pockets, limited break area, rack the 9 ball on the spot, 3 across the head string, ref's judging if a break is hard enough. They even added the 10 ball and made a whole new game because of how easy 9 ball s.
@@sergio6126 They haven't had to change 8 ball(on a 7 ft) or snooker to make it harder. The entire 9 ball concept of a game is too easy and should just be replaced by 8 ball. The Ultimate Pool is a good start.

Good call from the ref, if a ball is that close, you shouldn't be playing towards it. Once you hit the white ball, the cue will go through the white ball and push both balls at the same time, it was 100% a push shot . Skyler let it get to him too, he should have just tried to play on as normal.
