one of my favorite stories abt cole, he played against burnley in the prem for like 25 minutes, went straight after to an under 23 game, and scored a hat trick.
If it wasn’t for his catastrophic calamitous apocalyptic cataclysmic knee injury and haunting horrendous heart stopping encounter with a grey goose bottle Niran would be the best player in the premier league
I think the hype got to Jude Bellingham’s head but I don’t think the hype will effect Cole at all. That is what makes him special (along with his offensive IQ) and his future so exciting.
That Arsenal game showed how different Palmer was because everyone expected the pass when that was never Palmer's idea. He is so confident in front of goal, he just does what he wants and pulls it off. Its a rare thing nowadays, that sort of crazy confidence.
I would do some shameful shit to get Cole Palmer at Liverpool. Never wanted a player from a rival team so much. I genuinely envy Chelsea for having Palmer. Absolute fuckin baller
Man city's mistake wasn't even selling Palmer (45 million is a lot for a young player with a couple of goals) was not having a buy-back clause just in case he developed as a player
Brother, It is Chelsea Fc that they are selling to and even with this high fee for a youngster, why would a big club like Chelsea allow to insert a buy back clause at all? Lol, I'd say if it is Southampton, Burnley typa club then there might be a buy back clause with Fee reigning between 15-20M max
@@kingarmish if was a 80-100M clause Chelsea would accept. The whole todd bolly project is to value Young players and getting a lot of proffit. Buy a player for 40-45 million and sell for double of that value is a huge profite
@@jpwaitforit5801 Nope this model works only if you get a player with 10-15M price tags and Todd basically doing this with some brazilian, french young talents and with homegrown cobham maestros. Palmer case is different. Different in a sense that Chelsea lost Havertz and they were continuously chasing Olise for the major part of that summer window only to left with no choice but Palmer as Olise signed new deal at Palace. Palmer was meant to be a squad player and 40M now seems justified but at that time people laugh at this price tag for Palmer.
As a man city fan, watching this makes me feel like crying. Palmer wanted more game time, Pep wanted to loan him out to Burnley. Like WTF!?!? before he moved
I said to my dad before Palmer even played a single game for Chelsea that 40m was nowhere near enough. I said, my exact words, “he’s at least 100m, at the very least”. everyone called me biased, that he’s overrated, overhyped, nowhere near 100m etc. now look at him. I will never forgive pep for allowing this to go through. In his own words, he said “you either stay or leave. No loan”. Cataclysmic management from ‘one of the best managers we’ve ever seen’. When I found out that he is coming to our club, I couldn’t believe that it’s true. I am not watching football for a long time, passively since I was very little and actively this is my 3rd premier league season but he is definitely my favorite player among all top 5 leagues and an absolute joy to watch. I was watching every england’s game at euros just because of him!!! I am just hoping that he stays at Chelsea…the management can’t let him go.
I'm afraid if the rest of the Chelsea players don't fix up and match Palmer's level, they won't be able to compete for trophies. Palmer will win individual honours but the team will come up short. I see a Matt Le Tissier resemblance in Palmer, big fish in a small pond. Le Tiss was levels ahead of his team mates at Southampton and he was the center of everything akin to Palmer at Chelsea.
