Just to clarify a couple of points, you can use racing soft tyres and never need to pit at all plus you can actually drive into the other cars and literally send them flying offtrack without losing the clean race bonus. If you hit the wall, you'll get a 5 second penalty but not lose the bonus either. In fact, I have made 50 million doing this without ever losing the bonus. Not once! The first lap is the worst as it's the wettest. After that it's pretty grippy as the racing line appears rather quickly. Really boring way to make credits but awesome fun spending them. The other 11 cars are a pain and will block you so just punt them out the way but avoid the walls.

Already managed to rack up almost 40 million with this metod. I'm even laping sub 1.12 times (my best was 1.11.980 at fuel mix 3) but it's difficult to be consistent, because you're laping opponents every 2 laps or so. PS don't worry about crashing into them. Clean race bonus is always awarded here, no matter how much havoc you wreck.
How do you unlock this race? I've completed thru menu book 38 but this race doesn't show up in Tokyo Expressway. The Clubman PP550 is the last race on my list.

I've been getting used to this and was able to get around 1:12 lap. But getting under 1:18 is pretty easy after you learn how fast you can go. I usually stay in 7th and keep my foot down all the turns except for thr last one and the first two after the straight
At what point to you unlock the Tokyo speedway 550K race? I’m pretty far in the game but under that section I only have the clubman cup x2 and fr 450 challenges only. I also just completed the world touring car 600 but it didn’t unlock that map for me nor the 550K race
PSA: If you want to use this to grind, have fun while it lasts but PLEASE do not infect online lobbies with it unless the lobby is dedicated to that car. I love 650-750 races and you can't even finish most races due to that thing finishing so fast.
You can also do the same thing in sardegna. It will still give you the clean race bonus, it's also a dry track so you'll be more consistent. It's 15 laps though
I only use 5, 6 and 7 gears and never have traction issues. On the first 3 or 4 laps, stay in 7th all the time. And idk why, but i have been hitting some of those cars at full speed on blind turns and still got the bonus consistently. Even went off track in the last turn and still got the 825k
The most important thing is to buy fully customise gear box. Change the first 3 gear ratios to the lowest and then save, and then lower those ratios again to 41, 43 and 45 which leaves 4th gear to 7th gear with so much power, but PP will drop from over 1200 to 595 straight away. Power restrictor to 70%. Change the tyre to racing hard. Thats all it takes.

All I did was changing the tyres to RH then power restricter to 70%, then engine output before adjusting manual gear box ratios. You need to press Triangle to save the gear ratios first and then coming out from the menu and go back to it to reduce further % on gear ratios cuz you can't reduce the gear ratios to lower then 52 at first. You need to save the changes before changing them again. Pay attention to gear box ratios.
This race combo helped me earn enough for the Ferrari 250 GTO. Actually, I only have 38 cars left in the Brand Dealership. It's been great. Update: 30 cars left in brand dealership. $34 million credits. I need a break.
Pro-tip: Use the last fuel map to reduce power and it's pretty damn alright to drive (or at least more so). With the last fuel map, you can take everything most everything flat out in fifth/sixth/seventh save the first corners and the last. Also on the last corner don't shift below 4th gear or you'll spin the car... actually don't ever shift below 4th gear or you'll spin the car.
I don't shift at all, 7th the entire race, don't touch the fuel mix and use racing softs. I'm not going to make it any more difficult for myself by changing gears etc... it's just a credit grind.
Before I buy this game is their an offline game play like in the old gran turismos or is it all online with other people? I always loved playing the older ones kn ps2 grinding
What works best for me is to Pit the first lap and change the RH to IM Wet tires! Change to Wet tires and you will control the tomahawk better in wet! Cheers.
Just now posted a replay in game of my all time best run which at the same time is a record in itself. I ran a time of 14 minutes and 18 seconds around here with my Tomahawk X lol
Be advised, Polyphony MAY patch this setup or the race since they probably found out about this from other players spreading the word to others on forums or videos.
I found the Sardinia race for 485k was way more fun because you can practice with all kinds of cars and do all kinds of testing (fuel efficiency, tire wear etc) for gr 3 cars to find your favorite for multi-player.
I was actually able to change the tune a bit- i start in inters which helps tremendously on first lap then switch to racing tyres when the inters die. 15 min overall time is possible although 16 is prob my average now with traffic and a few penalties.
I never had a unclean race. I used to restart when I hit a car below half the race. I few times on the last lap or close to the end I hit a few cars and still got the clean race. Seems to only give a penalty... Just finish the race you will get the clean race. I could just be wrong and very lucky but that's what I experienced so far. I do all the farming methods as doing only 1 race is boring. Check out the race on Sardena it's a 15 lap race but it's got sunny weather. 800pp can do it with the Dodge too but it's too easy. Ran in with the mclaren and still easy but it's so nice to drive. It's a bit of a more forgiving race. Pays out a little less but nice to mix it up. Nice vid but note the clean race is a given...
@@chrisd6736 fastest total time I don't really know. Fastest lap is a high 1.09, but its on the controler while laying back in the relaxe sofa. Will probably be faster if I used my wheel setup. Just to lazy getting it setup for some grinding ( got a playseat challenge standing in my closet).
@@chrisd6736 My fastest time here is a low 1.35 with a nissan r92, for a real car, and a very low 1.09 with the Tomahawk. Both with the controller on ps4. Fastest in a group 3 car, ive been getting is a high 1.38 in a Dbr9.
This is terrible this is going to get patched... The original exploiter was a UA-camr running the Japan ver. Of GT7 found on Reddit on ver.1.11 now on ver.1.12 his setup had a setting patched. Obviously now with a workaround but now that this is everywhere again (thank you) it's only a matter of time before another setting gets patched and the car becomes unusable. Again. So abuse it while it lasts... Unfortunately I'm kinda of bored with the grind it's still hard to build 20 mil let alone 100mill Cap unless you have nothing else going on in your life.

It's a glitch in the tuning. You basically change the first 3 gear timings to levels that make the game think the Tomahawk is a lower performing car so, yes, it is a glitch. You have to follow very specific steps for it to work as well. Just copying the settings doesn't net you the desired PP.
Yea I feel you, it ruins the whole ordeal of grinding. Sure Gran Turismo 4 had the 2 rally car races that let's you win a rally car worth 300k Cr. and sell it again and again but this glitch is extreme in comparison.if Sure people would just want the cars to go online (I wonder how this is going to get resolved with so many players with all the cars from this glitch and those starting new in the next few months? Will there be punishment??) Either or, it's still beyond easy to get cash unlike GT4 if you never heard of the rally car trick. Made 500k in an hour with the Tomahawk road car in the speedway by leaving just one finger on the driver button and watching a movie (bashing into the wall I don't spin out and am too fast for the other cars), 2 minute race 20k cr. repeat. Is this why people don't like this game? lol

As long as you don't hit the AI cars as you're passing for position you get the clean race bonus, even if you slam into them as you lap them

Yeah the track hits never affect the bonus, only hitting cars. The track adds the annoying time penalties though

You only need ASM to make this car feel more stable, however this is optional!
My best finishing time hire its 15.50, so almost 3,300,000 per hour

@@miscent107- ya supposedly tomahawk is a bit easier/faster with controller though. That was true for the hyper fast Red Bull back in the day as well.
