Pete being out as head couch is one of the events that people remember where they were when they heard the news. The first thing I thought of was Pete's guys and how they must be feeling. I checked KJ & Gee's then Sherms podcasts. THANK YOU for giving up your evening to mourn and celebrate Pete w/us tonight. Gee's right. The Seahawks are superhero's to us fans. Thank you to ALL of Pete's guys (the real ones) for being honorable men, Dad's, sons and contributing members to Seattle and beyond. Thank you KJ & Gee for doing your very best to balance the podcast w/your relationships w/others in the Hawks organization. I know that's gut wrenching at times. The reason KJ can't relate to the recent cigar gate in the locker room is he's one of the greats. Greats don't have the mindset that can conceptualize smoking a cigar in the locker when going home. Y'all are DOGS for hanging w/us, answering ALL questions and sharing your emotions and insights. You're both superheros. Much respect.
This has been the best Seahawks podcast of all time. Thank you for the love, time, and energy ya’ll put into this. Not having Pete as our head coach hurts more than any bad breakup. I hope the Seahawks media continues to highlight the future work he does in the organization in his new role. Seattle sports will not be the same without him… “Always ComPETE” 🙏🏾
Man KJ the stories you told about him really made me tear up, I’m 21 years old and you and all of the LOB and the hawks were my childhood, and I will always be a fan, I loved your insight about coach Caroll, we will miss him greatly
I started watching football probably around 2006. So Pete is almost my entire life as a seahawks fan. Man this one hits hard, thank you for al the great memories Pete what a beautiful dance it was.
Heya Kj I feel like I know you for real man I have watched you ball for years and was there for it! just saying man these new kids we have now need some KJ in the locker room you could keep this team in line.
Thanks so much Pete for the greatest 14 years of my life!! Also, thanks to the legion and kJ, wags, irvin , Cliff, Bennett, mebane, Clint, big red, j-Ryan, beast mode, m-Rob’s, Doug, Jermaine, kam, sherm, earl, browner, ect ect… for such a special and historic 4 years of football!! 💯❤️ No doubt! I’ve been a hawks fan my whole life. Chuck or Holmgren didn’t began to touch my life like Pete did! I’m an alcoholic/ addict in recovery with over a year sober now. Pete as well as his players are a huge reason I have been in and out of recovery for the last 14 years!! I’ve never given up because of the hawks being my higher power and it all falls on Pete!! He changes life’s!!! And I’m just a dude from a 5k population small town in south central Alaska… I ran my own seine boat out of prince william sound for 10 years. From 22-32 and I was tuned into Pete the whole time which led to resilience and relentlessly moving forward! I got into music because of listening to Pete for years! I have a beautiful life now and that’s on Pete!! A very special human being that touches life’s from a far all over the globe!! Go hawks 12’s!! I feel all of you!! You’re killing it KJ!! Keep it up bro! Much love homie!
Thanks for doing this. I think people have taken Pete Carroll for granted. This has been truly a unique and once in a lifetime situation. I am surprised how quickly people have said, “it is time”. (Yes, it’ll be 😢hard to fill his shoes)Thanks for celebrating Pete’s legacy, truly a gem of a character.
Thank you so much Boss , I love no matter what you keep it 100 and the fact that you are so loyal to your former coach you are a first ballot Hall of famer
This the best Seattle football podcast, they both answer so honestly yet so respectfully. And the questions given are also incredibly intriguing and well thought out. Also the insight that KJ has on the Hawks is amazing. Also his respect and love for Pete is amazing to hear
What a beautiful tribute to your former coach KJ. On and off the field he was such an inspiration. And maybe, just maybe, the inspiration off the field was even more important than the inspiration he gave on the field. He's gonna be missed on that sideline.
I met Pete at a wsu usc game in Pullman..I think 06-07 time frame. We were joking with him in the student section knowing he was about to whip us and he walked over to us to clap back jokingly. When he was announced as the Seahawks coach I was hyped
Thank you Pete! I've been a Seahawks fan since the Coach Knox days. A lot of thrilling and inspiring times but nothing quite like the Coach Carroll era. How cool it was that we had a Super Bowl parade in Seattle. Go Hawks.
I am a die hard Seahawks fan with season tickets ever since Lumen Field was built. I was in Detroit in a snowstorm in the city..when the Seahawks lost to the Steelers…but one of the best moments of my life in Met Life stadium in New Jersey when the Seahawks dominated the Broncos to win the Super Bowl! I even remember yelling at the TV in a hospitality center in a Marriott hotel inJapan when the Seahawks handed the Patriots the Super Bowl. All the Japanese business men in the room didn’t understand why I was yelling as the Patriots intercepted the throw in the end zone….😂😂😂😂😂Lots of memories!
Thanks for sharing KJ!! Great respect to the greatest coach ever! I just hope the Seahawks will continue with the same culture and philosophy that has made the organization like no other. I fear that with new coaches without Pete it won’t be. How could it be!?
While most folks are working through the grief and denial, and a vocal minority celebrates, let's not forget that despite Coach Carroll's "re-assignment", we have the great fortune that John Schneider is the next man up, in terms of leading the organization. Pete's legacy will reverberate so long as John sits in the GM chair. Continuity on the personnel side, and a new guy with something to prove, still leaves us with plenty of young talent and a fresh start offensively. The long vacation the 12's have enjoyed from the "coaching carousel" is officially over. Respect the legacy. Embrace the opportunity. The ride has only just begun. "Kage" is on point, initiating the vision process for the monument. I'm seeing him celebrating on the sidelines at the end of the Super Bowl win. Arms raised to the sky, feet planted wide, in the barbaric yawp of victory. A perfect symbolic celebration of "always compete" and what it gave us. I'm seeing it.
You guys and the legion of boom are always stars in my eyes. Going from 15 to 28 years old, graduating high school, beginning my service in the military, and now also serving our communities in law enforcement… I appreciate you guys so much and I can’t get enough. I remember in high school most of my school was empty for the Super Bowl parade haha good times. Thank you Pete for bringing a legacy to a home I’m proud of.
KJ, Thanks for sharing this podcast. As a Day 1 fan (before the 12's), I really appreciate this. We're feeling the same thing you are. Whether watching the game or listening to Raible call out Coach's antic on the sideline, it's just not gonna have the same "juice" as it has for the past 14 years. I'm glad to have lived in the Seahawks' Pete Carroll Era.
Man I remember being around 12 years old and my aunt took me to a Bobby Wagner autograph signing. We ended up going to a ton of them and meeting you guys was a big part of my childhood. I remember when I got KJs auto I posted the pic on instagram and he commented on it and everything. It meant to a lot to me when I was that young kid. That young kid inside of me is hurt the era is officially over but I’m happy I was able to witness it that I’ll be able to tell my kids and grandkids about the greatest TEAM to ever do it! Y’all are real life superhero’s and great role models. Keep up the good work guys.I’m grateful that I’m from Washington and got to witness that team. I remember playing pop Warner and we all wanted to be like you guys. I remember meeting Chris Clemons who was my favorite player at the time and I completely froze up. I was starstuck 😂 It was some awkward silence and then he told me “stay in school kid” I wish I had listened to him. 🤣🤣 LOB! Go Hawks!
KJ I can’t tell you how much I personally love and appreciate you! Your insights and openness to let us into your life is special. Blessing to you and your family! I pray you continue to grow in the knowledge and depth of the love of our Lord Jesus! I pray for you and Gee often.
I was 10 when Pete got hired, I’m going to be 24 in June. These guys were my hero’s, Pete was my coach, and marshawn is my favorite player ever. Thanks for the big hits, the Ws, and culture. Proud Hawk for life. I still remember the Super Bowl parade. All the Seattle schools closed for the day so we could go. My favorite memory is Marshawn on the bus with all of the cheerleaders around him. Legends!
Can you feel the love?? Wow...heartfelt. This podcast says it all!!! These guys..😢 Wow..just wow...Hugs to you KJ, we feel you, we hear you. Coach Carroll GOAT!!💚💙💚💚💙 "Always Compete!"
I finally was able to watch football just before the 06 Superbowl. Grew up military, chose Seattle, was happy to follow the Seahawks. When they gave Mora 1 year, I was mad they didn't give him a chance, and then they brought in Pete Carroll. I was so mad, lol. Then he won my & everyone else's hearts pretty quick. These years with him have been great! It is important to move on, but I think this was as respectful as they could do it, without him just retiring on his own. Glad he will still be around, because he is great with the guys. So glad to have enjoyed the whole 14 years, even the frustrating ones😊💙💚💪
Thank you for sharing your perspectives. People who think this was a good move….be careful for what you wish for….you might just get it. Carrol is Win Forever. We lost our coach, can’t be replaced. I will miss him dearly..
All things come to an end. Overall Pete did so much for everyone. It definitely was not mediocre. Very consistent and always in it. People unhappy….we will see how long the next guy will last.
This really is a where were you when this happened type of moment. I took a snapshot of where I was even though I was in the middle of my living room hallway
I have enjoyed this sooooo much. Thanx guys. Felt and learned much. Hope we get the right guy for these guys! ("I did in my brain!!!!" You crack me up!) 😂
Ive been a Seahawks fan since the very beginning of the franchise. Been to many games at the Kingdome. Always watched them wherever i was at, even when I was in the military stationed wherever. At no point did i ever enjoy watching a coach on the sideline. I enjoyed watching the coach do his thing. I doubt that will ever happen again. I really appreciate the culture he brought and all he has done, but I especially appreciate the man he is.
You hit it spot on around the 34-35 minute mark on the focus of young players today. This season looked to me like the defense was not hardcore focused and lost on so many games. Some more than others, one corner most definitely needs to go and we all know who he is.
So true. I saw selfish plays, lack of commitment and effort This was a fast and talented team that underperformed and unfortunately, the message didn't work on this group. It cost Pete Carroll his job.😢
Man some of those videos are hard to watch Gee Kj you guys nailed it as always As hawks fans we will always have those memories of the greatest NFL team ever
We will always love you Pete! I don't think your coaching approach is wrong or old or ineffective. It it turns these young college ballers, become family, it creates passion, it forms strong men. Men that trust and love one another. I am so hopeful your impression is left for decades to come. There is no place like the Pete Carroll environment. Those guys get drafted to PNW, far from familiarity, they bond and find brothers on petes field. His energy is contagious and enigmatic. Winning is important, but it isn't everything. And you still did it better than most. Your record and these men are proof of that. How many coaches have dozens of former players coming back to the practice field to meet and greet their other brothers? Videos of him throwing bombs at practices to the rooks, pranking other coaches and players? I saw love on that field during practice. You are the seahawk father to these guys. Look forward to what you do next. Much love Coach Pete Carroll
Kj & Gee y’all need to bring Pete on here just for a special episode just like he went on the podcast with sherm us fans would love and appreciate it !! Pete was and is a legend he changed the world and the game of 🏈 it’s bigger than seahawk football ❤️
KJ is first class! Why isn’t KJ coaching. Love to hear players talk about Pete. He had an incredible impact on the Seahawks, players, and the whole region on the NW.
You should have stood up in the middle of Graduation and screamed at the top of your lungs with so much excitement... WOOHOO, I just got drafted to the Seattle Seahawks!!! 💙💚💙💚 Always enjoyed watching you on the field! Pete was a fantastic head Coach who did so much for the Seahawks Organization and us 12s! He'll be greatly missed! 🥺
Having listened to so many news stories about Pete - I'm not sure if it's the accumulation of it, or maybe it's KJ, but I've reached my limit and am tearing up. :( There's 1 common message in all of these - Pete is LOVED! His immeasurable traits will not be easily replaced - that's for sure. Much
One SB win was validation of win forever. Going to two Back to Back SBs changed front office and Coordinators Losing that way divided the team. Through it all, Coach Carroll stayed the same. Seattle will never have such an inspiring, positive, original man leading the Seahawks.
Fans don’t have any idea how hurtful it is hearing them demanding for Coach Pete to step down when he dedicated his entire life and career for this town! He means nothing more than the team to win! If players doesn’t deliver despite of all the Coaching he does, it is on the players, not, on him! So, for mean people to demand for him to be fired 😢, that’s the meanest one can wished for! We’ll missed to see the enthusiasm Coach Pete showed on the sideline, the gum chewing man that’s always there for his boys, to bring the best on each one! Best of luck to these players chosen in the 53-man roster, who did not seem to see the importance of being chosen out of 93! You did not make your Coach proud in return!
Cut to 3 seasons from now when we've gone through 3 Head coaches and 2 interim coaches and Jody Allen and crew are going to be begging to bring back Pete Carroll.
Thank you Pete, I'm sad your not our coach anymore. You came in and created a team with such a unique style and had soooooo much energy that we couldn't help but be respected by your fans and players alike. You never gave up and had a talent for getting the most out of your team. We could tell from day one that HEY, your a force of energy that infected everyone. We will surely miss you. You are the best Coach Seattle ever had and we will miss you so thanks for all these years of great football.....
I am with CJ nothing but love for coach Carroll. He is one of a kind and a man's man. His mark is clearly made on the organization, on his player and the fans. He is loved and respected.
For the public PC statue, IMO it should be from after 1 of inspiring, very tough win (might have been after big play late in game) when he goes running out onto the field, both arms up (headset was 1 of his hands, think he eventually tossed them to ground), chewing his gum as he hollered in celebration. I think public statue should be field side right out front of the 12th fan flag pole (that way PC, his energy, etc is always front & center at start of every game as the 12th man flag gets raised. Then s statue for the org located wherever y'all feel is the most appropriate location for statue of PC, whether practice field, the front office part of facility, locker room, basketball court, etc u guys would know best

KJ and Sherman both choked up over this…tears for me.

How I felt when he left SC. IM HOPING TO GOD HE COMES BACK!

Thank You Pete! You will be remembered as one of the greatest coaches of this franchise. You will be missed and excited for the next chapter.
One of is a understatement he was the greatest of that franchise no debate
One of? Pete is THE greatest head coach we’ve ever had.
He’s easily THE greatest. With all respect to Holmgren and Knox neither accomplished close to what he’s done.
Man KJ the stories you told about him really made me tear up, I’m 21 years old and you and all of the LOB and the hawks were my childhood, and I will always be a fan, I loved your insight about coach Caroll, we will miss him greatly
Seattle became spoiled under Coach Carroll. Hope we don’t regret this day
One of the greatest ever. I’ll never forget how Pete Carroll put that legion of boom team together. Made me love the Seahawks.
I started watching football probably around 2006. So Pete is almost my entire life as a seahawks fan. Man this one hits hard, thank you for al the great memories Pete what a beautiful dance it was.
I started in 2006 as well. It's crazy how fast it's all gone
Heya Kj I feel like I know you for real man I have watched you ball for years and was there for it! just saying man these new kids we have now need some KJ in the locker room you could keep this team in line.
As someone your age it’s crazy to see how Pete took you young pups and turned you all into the great men that you are today. Thanks Pete
Pete came to Seattle when I was 16. I am now 30.
Pete has been there almost HALF my entire life. Feels like losing a relative man.
same here... its really strange.
It does feel kinda like a death. Thank God it's NOT, BUT it sure hurts.
Thanks so much Pete for the greatest 14 years of my life!! The statue should be the carrol meme with the cane and wizard hat after beating the niners in 2013 at home before playoffs wich was harboughs bday.
You guys are the best! Love watching the chemistry. Thank you to Pete for 14 years of excellence! 🙏🏽

Thank you so much Boss , I love no matter what you keep it 100 and the fact that you are so loyal to your former coach you are a first ballot Hall of famer
Hands down best Seahawks show ever! Really hope you both will be around through the offseason as we move into the next era, as well as next season.
KJs impersonation of Earl Thomas is FUNNY AF 😂😂😂
Thanks for sharing some of those memorable clips today ! I've never seen someone so fired up after being fired 😂. He's one of a kind.
This the best Seattle football podcast, they both answer so honestly yet so respectfully. And the questions given are also incredibly intriguing and well thought out.

Thank you for the real! You are very entertaining.
Thanks you KJ Wright
Great video today boys! Gave me a lot of unknown insights into PETE CARROLL
Thanks for this emergency podcast lads, it DID mean a lot! Cheers.

Brought that Fight On to Seahawks 💯🫡
It would be great to see Pete back at SC !
Damn a cartwheel into the whiteboard? Carroll was crazy but he knew what he was doing.
KJ is first class! Why isn’t KJ coaching. Love to hear players talk about Pete. He had an incredible impact on the Seahawks, players, and the whole region on the NW.
I think the Seahawks should go in whole new direction. Hiring Dan Quinn is just trying to stay in the LOB days. Let it go! Time for change.
Much
Pete should have had one more year in Seattle
Who aint cryin... Man so much love
KJ def hatin! Some random guy in Vegas complemented my shoes and it literally made my day
I will NEVER get over the Superbowl we lost. Tons of therapy and still…I feel worse about Pete after hearing Sherm and KJ
Therapy for a losing a game as a fan? You can't be serious. It's just a game.
One SB win was validation of win forever. Going to two Back to Back SBs changed front office and Coordinators
Losing that way divided the team.
Through it all, Coach Carroll stayed the same. Seattle will never have such an inspiring, positive, original man leading the Seahawks.
Move on from it. It sucks we couldn't get the second one, but the past is the past, and there are more championships for us to win. Go Hawks!
@@ericsong5155 thanks for caring but I didn’t ask for your opinion. You do you.
ok keep being miserable lol@@treefrogmusicdanceeducatio7315
Pete is pure class!
@CJ King 1:06:44 What you said there was so deep and real about Pete, I almost shed a tear.
Cut to 3 seasons from now when we've gone through 3 Head coaches and 2 interim coaches and Jody Allen and crew are going to be begging to bring back Pete Carroll.
Damn Gee. You ain’t letting us wallow. We need to wallow for a minute
Pete will get his statue. Lol definitely gonna be the peanut man meme with the Monarchs, chewing his gum.
Bobby better not freaking retire !!
Gonna miss Pete. Most of my favorite Seahawks moments are during his reign. I’ve been a fan since the first season.
If Kam, Cliff, Sherm, & ET didn’t get injured Seahawks would’ve had 2 rings. Maybe more.
Pete was not just a team builder...more importantly he was a builder of men. Men whom have become pillars in their community.
Well done.
Pete needs to rollout a Master Class on Culture & Leadership.
I hope KJ gets to put the gold jacket on Pete!
The best Man coaching .
Impossible to replace.
Seahawks will never have the same spirit with someone else.
Fire John Schnieder .
