Love this time of year - couple weeks post-release and my man LVD is crushing with all new decks. Wolf tribal was dope, so is this one. Keep up the good work!
Saw the deck and was super excited..... then realized the main deck is all Rare/Mythic outside of some lands....... Hahaha. Still, this thing looks amazing and like a ton of fun. I think I will try it out sometime. Legend you're the best!
@@barbarrrossa5730 Whoa had no idea it was that high. I was initially underwhelmed by the set power level but seeing the adventures in action has totally changed my mind.
Embercleave on a Questing Beast is so insane. Gruul Aggro dream. A deathtouch trampler only deals one damage to every blocker before going mainface, with double strike nearly unbeatable without an instant kill spell.
when you talk about butcher and the double trigger from embercleave, I think the trample is also worth a mention, because some people will block it with shit that will neither kill it or be killed by it
i wish lvd would upload 5 videos everyday these are my favourite vids of all, i watch alot of vids like a lot of other games, mike tyson boxing, music vids, but lvd vids are the best
I am not much of an aggro player but I like the deck idea and my only mythic playset of eldraine is embercleave so I will try this deck. I love the design of Rankle and I am happy to see a deck which has Rankle and Embercleave.
loving the deck, but god is it expensive especially for me who decided to go on a hiatus before RNA came out xD, I do like the overall theme. keep up the good work.
I built a related deck on a budget before this video. Just cram in all the Rakdos Knights you can, Steelclaw Lance Stormfist Crusader and Midnight Reaper will provide a lot of card draw and the deck naturally curves low so you can shave the lands a bit. The, ah, gimmick is throwing in a couple of Greusome Menageries to bring back a 1, 2, and 3 drop. Every Embercleave you can, of course, but the Menageries can give you a canned army with exactly the synergy you need to close the game, and they provide a lot of attacking bodies for Embercleave. By building the deck in this way, you can use Tournament Grounds to improve the manabase.
If you don't want to dish out 4 mythic wild cards for Embercleave, I high recommend Karn for this type of aggro deck that guarantees you find it. I also like the steelclaw lance equipment thats also a good alternative to some of the flyers and works great with Tournament Grounds. Lucky Clovers also great if running mostly adventure Knights. A lot of great Rakdos aggro Knight deck variations and I've found them all to be quite good.
What would you do as a sideboard? I would like to try that on paper, and tournament so best of 3 ;) very nice deck, flyers are pretty difficult to deal with
Ah, my favourite fairytale, Embercleave and the seven dwarves. Remember when the prince kissed the blade and they lived happily ever after? Also, the case an embercleave comes in is really cool, it's basically like a glass casket almost?
Legen, how do you make these decks? Do you pay gems to open packs? Or do you acquire everything through drafting? Playsets of all these mythics seems hard to do so early in the format
IMO 22 land is too little. Average CMC is 2.6, and Knight decks using cleave with 2.4 aCMC has 23 or 24 lands, and they have a more stable mana base due to Tournament Grounds. Stormfist Crusader does help with the card draw, but not enough to go down to 22. Also, I don't think 4 Embercleaves is necessary, as drawing a second copy is pretty bad due to legendary, and the top end creatures have evasion already. Only Regisaur really needs it bad because it gets chumped to death, so trading 1 cleave for another land improved the feel of the deck when I was playing with it. Apart from that, my only problem with the deck is clearing the way for the Butcher. With all the Geese and Grazers in the meta, I always feel so bad paying 2 mana to help Butcher deal with them even when I'm on the play. Maybe some Rimrock Knights would help (the adventure can help it trade with a bigger blocking creature AND improve its death trigger), but honestly that's just speculation with no testing.
Adding a land or two could definitely help with some of the potential mana issues. The mysterious BO1 hand fixing makes playing fewer lands still reasonable in a deck like this. The way this deck usually loses is if it doesn't curve out properly or if it starts flooding. So there's a delicate balance when it comes to building the manabase. Castle Locthwain is a little difficult to support sadly.
only non rare card in the deck is the gain lands. Gonna have to resist the urge to craft any cause i know i'm still 15 rare wildcards away from having this as a deck
"I'm getting more and more excited about this deck." - LegenVD at his absolute peak of ecstasy in gameplay. :)
How is Regisaur supposed to hold Embercleave in those tiny hands?!
carefully
Eggy Von Turbo in his teeth?
hahaha nice one
"Why aren't you seizing the boy!?"
Firmly grasps it
Black Red Knights splashing blue FOR THE SCIENCE!
YeS
14:36 Never heard someone saying "I'm getting more and more excited about the deck" so calm and chilled. :D

LegenVD is the best Magic content creator
getting to cleave a regisaur is a thing of beauty. i love playing this deck.

Eld is so a powercreep set. Nearly 60% of its rares have seen constructed play according to deck tracker sites. Ravnica had 35-40%.

I was waiting for an Embercleave decklist, I just love the card. Awesome Video!
this might be my favorite deck i've ever seen on this channel. and that's saying a lot, because i usually love your deckbuilding!!
"or flampler, if you will"
*How do I sub twice*
I won’t.
I will not flample
F l a m p l e r
When did he say that lol?

i'm playing a similar deck since Eldraine come out, really fun deck.
Great deck man. Really enjoyed it

Yup this is famously the only deck top tier deck that has zero Commons or uncommons in the main and ten mythics.

Light up the stage seems like it would be great in this deck! Edit: fabled passage?

What a dirty deck. I love it.
I was thinking embercleave and seven dwarfs but I like what you have done here.
Ah, my favourite fairytale, Embercleave and the seven dwarves. Remember when the prince kissed the blade and they lived happily ever after? Also, the case an embercleave comes in is really cool, it's basically like a glass casket almost?
Was just playing with this deck a bit on BO1 ladder.. so far I'm 5-0
How far was the deck able to take you?
the rankle audio bug where the audio keeps playing if you pick no options @22:22 is so obnoxious, they need to fix that already @_@
I love these kind of decks where you can kind of turn off your brain and smash
you said im getting more excited about this deck with the same tone my dad said im just going to get a pack of cigarettes before he left.
Legen, how do you make these decks? Do you pay gems to open packs? Or do you acquire everything through drafting? Playsets of all these mythics seems hard to do so early in the format
I buy 50 packs with each set, just so I can make these constructed videos early. I complete the entire set by drafting without it costing me anything.
Question: why play gainlands instead of scrylands?
There aren't black+red scrylands yet. That said, I prefer Fabled Passage over the Bloodfell Caves.
Zack Edington oh, haha I should have known that. Thanks for the response.
Wonder why the opponent didnt go for the 6 life there 23:50 ...
How many cards total are in mtg arena?

Anyone knows a good budget deck that uses few rare wildcards... previous meta i used a monoblue tempo deck any ideas for this one?
Mill? Secretkeepers are common as are most of the milling counterspells
i Love the videos man!
How does one come by the full-art lands?
Miz Boom probably can’t get them anymore, they were special events with them as a reward for completing each.
Oh dang it. I can never have nice things. Pfff.
Why is stormfist crusader a good card?
Amazing deck but it may be the most wildcard intensive deck you've ever made. Everything other than basic lands is either rare or mythic
only non rare card in the deck is the gain lands. Gonna have to resist the urge to craft any cause i know i'm still 15 rare wildcards away from having this as a deck
Do Izzet League next please
6:02 excuse me.. what? :'DDDDD
My last sealed someone embercleaved my face and made me sad :(. Still 6-3 though!
That’s a lot of rare’s lol
The problem of rakdos is the manabase. It can't be a reliable and competitive deck at the moment, unfortunately.
Too many wildcards :c
AMAZING DECK FUCK a lot of rares :| u think its can be good at bo 3?

it never ceases to amaze me how golos gates can be such a braindead deck.
