There are a lot of steps involved in making a brand new model car. They start making it way in advance so they have time to test it and whatnot, and it's released at a certain deadline.

But why would you expect us to automatically know it has been around for as long as it has? The fiesta, when it came here, was advertised as a brand new car. No mention was made about its history in the Fiesta ads, brochure, dealership, nothing... So, In this case, you have no reason to make the false and insulting generalization that we "think we are the center of the world"
