Theo... According to Canon my 5d mk II is also weather proof to some degree... but it is not true!!! 3 months ago when I was in the Alps... it get wet in the very, VERY LIGHT rain and some of the buttons just stopped working and I was unable to take photos :( So... don't trust those seals and protect your camera.
Oh no! Yep never want to expose it really, the weather suddenly changed so I had to make do with what I've got, thankful for the pop up hat 😂 did you manage to get yours sorted?
VDubVanLife Well sort of... I was in the Alps only for 3 days(and it was the weekend) so I had no time to waste... Firstly I tried to dry it from the outside using hair dryer, but no effect. Then I decided to disassemble it and dry it from inside. I was kind off successful... but then I damaged some connector/electronic tape... :( In the end... the camera worked only partially. I didn't have the screen, and I was unable to change AV... fortunately it blocked at f11, so I was able to shot some basic landscapes just by using viewfinder... After I returned home, I bought the part which was broken from the ebay and replaced it by myself. Now it is fixed in 99% - but sometimes the "play" button doesn't work....
Looking at the shore and the photography possibilities I will stay there for ever!!

The sun rises in the east not the west.
