- VMAX scooters have come to the US market at last! Today we're spending some time with the VX4, their flagship "do everything" model. It has three battery size choices, full suspension for riding on any terrain, and a surprisingly peppy motor that can be unlocked for up to 25 mph (40 kph) for US versions. We take a deep dive into every aspect of the VX4, including a full range test!

Looks remarkably similar to Rictor, Kuickwheel and Caroma. One company under different names?
Great question. At VMAX we have our own manufacturing facility and design everything in house, this scooter is not available under other brand names.
@@vmax_escooter please lower the position of the thumb throttle, for a better (full fist) grip. Half twist throttles still offer the best full fist grip imo.
@Trottinet-work Have you ridden the VX4? Just curious, I felt like the throttle was at a good angle. I actually prefer thumb to twist, I feel like half-grip twist throttles compromise my grip more. Personal preference I suppose 🤷
Regarding your comment on similar products: I am not familiar with those three brands, but I did some looking at Rictor. I could spot quite a few differences with components and overall design, their warranty isn't nearly as good either. I'd have to test ride those other brands to really be able to comment... but I will say that there's lots of copycats out there, and my bet is on other brands copying what VMAX is doing.
Can you McGyver a better DIY latch?
Velcro a strap maybe?
I'd be walking up 3 flights of stairs.
VMAX let me know they're working on an improved latch solution 😁
@@MicromobilityIndustries We are, details will follow soon.
all the product information painted on the right side is stupid.
and the thumb throttle is way too high
Why so? I quite like having all that information available (though I suppose they could have put it in a more out-of-the-way place on the underside)
