- In this video I feature ways we can upcycle 12 items to transform into beautiful Valentines decor for our homes. I show many projects creating budget friendly pieces you can use in your home for winter, Valentines or any occasion. Decorating your home does not have to cost a lot of money and it's also fun to transform items to fit into your home decor style. Lots of decor projects that are easy, budget friendly and lots of fun to make! Many of the supplies to make these fun projects can be purchased from a thrift store, yard sale, Dollar Store or Amazon. I show how you can take simple and inexpensive supplies and turn them into fun and easy decor for your home! Wow! Using those child headbands - brilliant!
The flour sack dish towels from my grandmother's mid-century kitchen are ripped with use. Thank your for the idea of staining them and ripping them into strips for tassels and bows. It hurt to have them tossed into the rag pile, so now I can rescue them and make them beautiful. Lol. Every time I hear the term "flour sack," I remember the few pretty ones Mom made into dresses. I am grateful for the sack makers who added designs when they realized seamstresses didn't toss them but upcycled them. (Of course, back then, everyone upcycled but no one had ever heard that term.)

I want to go garage sale shopping with you. I have never ever seen anything like these at the garage sales I go to. I'd have better luck trying to buy the garage than I would finding neat stuff like you did. My mother was a clothing designer and had a manikin that was 6 months pregnant. Boy I wish I had it now .

You can also go to flea markets and look through the old vintage black and white photographs of weddings, confirmations, graduations, baptisms, etc and decoupage onto a heart, or plaque etc

Teresa that large wooden heart that you couldn't recall where you found it last year....the one that looks something like shiplap... I saw yesterday at a Dollar Tree I popped into. It was hanging with their large plain wooden hearts. I just ordered two beautiful decopage papers from your affiliate link. I got the one you used, as well as one with red roses, too. I can't wait to see them in person, and use them on the wooden hearts I found at that Dollar Tree yesterday.

I wish you could help me Style my home
I used to be really good at it but my life got turned upside down last April when I found my 29 year old daughter I alive in her bed from heart failure!! Ever since I have been unable to get myself together and I love crafting painting refinishing furniture but my creativity seems to have left me! Two months ago I found out I have stage 4 kidney and heart failure one month later my husband was seen at the er and we found out he has stage 3 cancer. I’m not looking for anything by telling u this! Just PRAY FOR US! We are. Huge. Fans of yours! We have been married 30 years this July and we have always enjoyed doing all types of projects together!!!! My point in this message is to ask if you could share with me any projects that we could do together during his chemo or when I’m doing my dialysis to keep our minds in a loving and happy place 😍 thank you Betty Clayton
The mannequins look beautiful. I love that you encourage using all of the decoupage paper by pointing out that once it’s on the project, no one will know it was a scrap of a larger paper. The proof of this is the small metal heart. That one caught my eye. The design looks as if it was made just for that project! That whole sheet of paper was gorgeous

I have 2 FORMS. I used a huge sheer curtain all tucked & whatnot to create a skirt. I luv the idea of CUTTING in strips!!!
I have recently been obsessed with decoupaging. It is DEFINITELY my new love...and so so easy to do...after seeing all of these beautiful projects that you do with printable and tissue/rice paper...I tried to no avail to share my granddaughter Lilli's Valentine box we just completed on here..but couldn't figure it out...Lilli painted the box and did most of the decoupaging on here..I just filled in and embellished....! IT WAS SO SO FUN...she had a BALL creating this...I LOVE that she inherited the crafting bug! I owe the inspiration to YOU, my favorite creator!...Love and hugs!

My goodness, I thought I was the only one who used a nail file as a sander, lol. My husband always says he's lucky to have a wife who would rather have power tools as a gift over jewelry. Same with using a nail file as a sander instead of on my nails, lol. Though, most of us love both jewelry and power tools.
