The skulk knows your there, and knows your intentions, and creates the warden as a line of defense against being destroyed. And if it's somehow killed, it drops a catalyst as a last ditch attempt to keep the being alive

Sometimes I think the warden isn’t in the caves because it was too dangerous, I think its guarding something, and killing you is better than letting whatever it is guarding get to you, or you get to it.

Hearing-based monsters are so, so cool to me. The warden's sounds are terrifying and so unique! The concept of it is amazing too. Just this big, hulking monster that you have no choice but to sneak past, and making a single sound is enough to end your game...
For some weird, nonsensical, funny reason I really like listening to him (in the safety of a UA-cam video of course, lol). In my opinion, the Warden has the most interesting and well executed sound design in vanilla Minecraft, what makes it so addictive to listen to him with an analytical viewpoint (hearing point, in this case) when your not in a full blown panic mode, because you overlooked that one shrieker, lmao...
Honestly I think the noises it makes when idle (called ambient here) are even scarier than the ones when it’s angry. Not sure why, but it reminds me of a ghost groaning as it wanders around a place it’s trapped in.

Why the hell would you wanna take your dog to the deep dark!? To protect you from the warden!? In case you don’t know, the warden can kill a player wearing full Netherite in just 2 hits! Ain’t no way your dog is gonna stand a chance against the warden. In my opinion, the only things that dogs are useful for is killing and attacking mobs that you attack or are attacked by. Considering the warden is the only mob capable of spawning in the deep dark, and your dog can’t kill it, the dog is basically useless in this situation. I don’t even THINK about taking my dog to a PILLAGER OUTPOST. Good luck with that..
I find the Warden to be a very relatable character. Clearly he's heavily introverted, hence why he gets so pissed off when strangers enter his sanctuary and disturbs his peace and quiet. Must be all the more irritating what with all his other senses being heightened due to his blindness. It's just like trying to sleep at night through an annoying dripping water tap.

When I thought of the concept of the warden I thought either the warden is in control and the souls are trapped. Or the souls are the once controlling the warden as their new body. The souls sounds like there in agony just wanting to escape and set free. Maybe when the warden is killed that's then when their free.
Today I had my first encounter with The Warden. And holy shit it was the most scariest and nerve wracking experience I had in minecraft. When I accidentally summon it, I got so scared by the step foots sounds that run and hide with block, then I started hearing how a bunch a mobcs like zombies and skelteons started to fight the Warden, I heard how they were killed, each one, then I managed to run back to the overworld, I would never forget the fear I felt while running out of the cave.
I kinda wish there was another version of the Warden that started as the actual Warden’s body, lying on the ground, inactive, and if you piss off the Shriekers enough, it’ll release a bunch of soul particle effects which then rush over to the inactive Warden corpse, possessing it, and giving it life as it rises from the ground. Perhaps this version could be balanced by you know where the Warden will ‘spawn’ because the body is right there, but as a trade-off, it already knows where you are.
Its not a irony, warden are a block, if dead just the body is broken, but your souls are free.The huge hp of warden is just the capacity for souls continue using this body.
@@stalemate9077 actually wrong, after you activate the shrieker 3 times, it spawns the warden, THIS will activate something which allows shriekers not to spawn any warden for a specific time, so of that runs out and the warden is still alive, and you manage activate a shrieker 3 times again it will spawn another warden, this can be continued till more wardens spawn.
@@Kjent0 no try it yourself you only get 3 warnings if you activate the shrieker 4 times the warden will spawn and it will only spawn another one if you are a couple blocks away from the warden and this time if you only trigger it once another one will spawn its not 4 times for each warden and don’t forget that you have to be a couple blocks away from it to actually spawn another one
@@stalemate9077 I've tried it myself and i could spawn more than 1, shriekers didn't activate for a while (the day i talked about or cooldown) and once it could be activated again after 3 (or 4) warnings it spawned another one, i might've messed counting the 3 warnings instead of 4 but the points is "when i tried" i could spawn more but I'll definitely retry it thank you :)
I can not tell you how terrifying the warden is, I literally discovered the deep dark with a friend and we were somewhat being reckless and 2 wardens spawned and it was terrifying, my friend said that we can out run the warden and I said "not possible that ducker is fast"

This is why I’m actually terrified of the Warden as of now. I tried to practice by grabbing some armor and gear and going down to an ancient city to practice facing my Warden fears. I tried to be quiet on the wool bridges but I accidentally activated a few sculk shriekers. a minute later, when I activated another one. After that, I heard digging RIGHT behind me. As soon as I heard that digging, I automatically left the world. When I first started playing back in 2017, I used to be afraid of Squids, Mooshrooms and Ghasts. I got over that eventually. When I tried to explore it in survival, I was actually shivering a little bit, so I just got out of it.
I saw a theory by someone (forgot who, if anyone knows the lemme know) that the warden is created from the bones and decaying bodies of the 'ancient builders', their souls reconstructing a new body to power, driven by rage. Also the fact this thing has over 4 minutes of sounds is terrifying.

So I made a reinforced deepslate cage in creative and spawned the Warden and Wither inside. The Warden beat the shit out of the wither in 7 or 8 hits.
i tried making both the warden and wither fight in a flat world and it was a tie surprisingly, both died

I've been imagining all the Warden's sounds replaced with classic Homer Simpson sound bytes. For instance, when you hit the Warden he yells "D'oh!"

This is why I’m actually terrified of the Warden as of now. I tried to practice by grabbing some armor and gear and going down to an ancient city to practice facing my Warden fears. I tried to be quiet on the wool bridges but I accidentally activated a few sculk shriekers. a minute later, when I activated another one. After that, I heard digging RIGHT behind me. As soon as I heard that digging, I automatically left the world. When I first started playing back in 2017, I used to be afraid of Squids, Mooshrooms and Ghasts. I got over that eventually. When I tried to explore it in survival, I was actually shivering a little bit, so I just got out of it.

I saw a theory by someone (forgot who, if anyone knows the lemme know) that the warden is created from the bones and decaying bodies of the 'ancient builders', their souls reconstructing a new body to power, driven by rage.
Also the fact this thing has over 4 minutes of sounds is terrifying.

I’m just building a trail and all I hear is like a beaver sound and I’ve never encountered the warden before, so search it up find this and sure enough it’s one of the nearest sounds it’s so scary

4:20 really suggest they should change the stepping sounds to more of a stomping sound to make people think its more terrifying than it actually is.
I just made a minecraft world, found a HUGE thing with railroads and chests, those berries, pads, flowers, and THEN i heard something. It was something i've never heard before, and i really hope it wasn't the warden :')
