    FSReborn is excited and pleased to release the FSR500 aircraft for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020. This turboprop represents an advanced higher level of immersion for the flight simulation community. The PT6A turbine engine (500 SHP) features multiple in-depth realism and failures. Custom coding brings the Garmin G1000 NXi avionics suite to the highest level of accuracy in Flight Simulator. With the electronic flight bag (EFB) the pilot can customize and experience several realism settings for a fully immersive flight.
    The FSR500 sets a new standard in Flight Simulator immersion and truly is “As Real as it Gets”.
    Available for purchase at the Marketplace within Flight Simulator.
    Be sure to view the Aircraft Manual for added insight and tips to fly the FSR500 through all phases of flight.

    Wow, I like this type of tutorial, direct and to the point without waste of time listening and trying to rewind to what other content providers are saying. This is so far the BEST FSR500, I have liked and subscribed and hoping to see a TBM850 & SWS PC-12 if you have not already. Thanks for sharing

    Just bought the aircraft and spend a little time checking everything out. This will definitely be my everyday aircraft. Great work and i appreciate that you pay attention to us Xbox users.

      Hi and thanks for your comments! We just need Asobo to keep up with Xbox stability with each sim update.

    Excellent video - When do suggest that you remove the rudder trim?

    • @TheFlightLevel
      @TheFlightLevel  5 місяців тому +1

      Thanks for watching. You can remove or re-adjust the trim at any time after liftoff. I usually reset the trim when I have established my cruise climb. Blue skies!

    I watched this hoping to answer my question on takeoff power. In the video you appear to use less than full power both on takeoff and climb. Understandable when you have plenty of runway. My interest is in situations where you need max performance such as a short runway or climbing to clear terrain.
    Is the 1313/ 101.8 max takeoff power or max except takeoff? How about max climb power.
    Is the 775-800 degree yellow arc something with a time limit?
    I understand de rated t/O and cruise climbs are good practice as I said, I wonder about max perf situations

      Hi and thanks for the visit! Yes, with a long runway it is not necessary to achieve the max torque and ITT. During engine start the max ITT is 1000°C and limited to 5 seconds. Torque is always limited to a max of 1313 FT-LB. These are the limitations for a maximum continuous power climb :
      a. Torque.......................... MONITOR (1313 ft-lbs max)
      b. ITT ........................................MONITOR (770°C max)
      c. Ng...................................... MONITOR (101.7% max)
      You will find more additional info in the aircraft manual.

    Quick question, @8:21 why not use the VNV glide path decent instead?

    • @TheFlightLevel
      @TheFlightLevel  6 місяців тому +1

      Thanks for discovering the channel! Yes, you certainly could use VNAV. I just kept things as simple as possible for the video. Blue skies!

    one of the best turbo props in MSFS. The only thing that bothers me is that the engine spools up and down to fast

    • @TheFlightLevel

      Hi and thanks for watching! Real engines sounds from the 500 were recorded and aligned with precise engine parameters and timing.

    • @bountyhunter_5150
      @bountyhunter_5150 4 місяці тому

      @@TheFlightLevel yes the engine sounds great! Thats not the problem.
      The problem is the engine rpm goes to fast up and down.
      A turboprop is known for having a rather slow spool up time.
      But i can be wrong!

    • @TheFlightLevel
      @TheFlightLevel  4 місяці тому +1

      @@bountyhunter_5150 Two pilots with more than 800 hours on the team worked in conjunction with the recorded sounds of the real aircraft. The spool up time and the rpm values were tweaked by the developer of the model to match the real recorded data. So what you hear and see matches the modern turboprop spool up time and sounds.

      @@TheFlightLevelok then its 100% correct.
      I love this game so much that i want as much realism as possible in this sim.

    Why are you not using TOGA for take off and FLC during climb, on the F/D? For speed protection. Also, we climb out at 125 KIAS in the M500, under normal procedures. 140 would be a cruise climb. It's very unusual to use VS during climb and indeed, the G1000 operating procedures state to use FLC during climb and VS during descent.

    • @TheFlightLevel
      @TheFlightLevel  8 місяців тому +1

      Thanks for watching! TOGA is not modelled in this version of the FSR500 (see page 7-17 of the aircraft manual). Copy your comment about airspeeds - multi-tasking during video recording! I try to keep the instructions as simple as possible when following the checklists especially for those new to the aircraft. Future videos will integrate the G1000 specifics for the flight phases. Thanks again for your insight!

    This tutorial reminds me of those that applied to FS9 and FSX, in that the pilot is limiting their operation to VS (there was no native FLC mode in FS9, FSX or P3D). Your climb procedures here are incorrect. As per SOP you would arm TOGA mode on the FD prior to take off, then once transitioning to climb, you'd engage FLC. There is no benefit to using VS in certainly the lower section of the climb - you lose the speed protection that FLC provides. I was also surpised that you did not take advantage of this wonderful aircraft's VNAV mode for your descent. You gave an instruction to begin descent at -1000 FPM in VS mode, but this would be specific to the given approach you were flying. The other videos were great, on following the checklists, prior to take off. But this video reminds me of the old FS9 tutorials, where even airliners like the 737 had to be climbed in VS mode, due to the sim at that time having no FLC mode.

      Thanks for commenting! TOGA is not implemented in this version of the aircraft. Future videos will utilize more features of the AFCS in conjunction with the G1000NXi. Very much appreciate you enjoyed the videos! PS: Yes, we have come a long way since FS9 .... but wasn't VS mode the coolest feature at the time!
