Im also a dermatologist, but having a complicated pregnancy....strated as subchorionic hemarrhage in 1st trimester, took rest for 10 days, was started on progesterone, then had an exacerbation of my allergic sinusitis, den developed more stress incontinence. Then 21 weeks as per gyn advice, visited physiotherapist in same hospital in v/o learning proper kegel s, but she also did some dry needling in pubic area in first visit itself. Next day, had lower pelvic area discomfort, found to have developed cervical incompetence with funneling of membranes, cx length- 0.8 cm, underwent emergency encirclage, now reaching 9th month. Such a shocking journey as a medico only, so i think its imp to focus on stress incontinence in pregnancy and do s and donts .
Also if possible suggestion on care and future post encirclage based on cx length
