This is my favorite movie of all time. I watched A Silent Voice for the first time nine months ago, and fell instantly in love with it. I then got the DVD four days later. Since then, I have watched it 25 more times, including last night. I think it's without question one of the best movies ever made. It is a very beautiful film, and I think everyone should experience this masterpiece once in their lifetime. I'm going to love and cherish it for as long as I live.
Why can’t life just be an anime. We meet the people we are supposed to meet. Fall for the people that we are supposed to fall for. This anime dug up some depressing thoughts I had buried. It was an amazing anime and at the end when he started seeing people’s faces it was something real. I think about all my life where I lived a bunch of what if moments. Somewhere there’s another me that made the right decisions and is happy. At least they don’t get to experience the dark like I do.

I was watching this movie for the first time just now, and I found myself being able to relate to Ishida. A man that has made terrible sins in the past, and those sins are coming back to haunt him. I’m currently remembering what I did in the past, but this movie just showed me that redemption is a good first step. I also need to forgive myself, which is something that I haven’t done yet. I also learned that I need to love myself, something I haven’t really been feeling lately. But the ending is what really got me, since he got out of his situation, and let out all the tears he wasn’t letting out earlier. It made me cry with him. 10/10 movie, tho I *do* wish Ishida and Shoko got together lol :,D
