fun fact him mentioning the moon was actually him saying he loved her back because if someone says the moon is beautiful in japan it means they love you so he actually did confess to her as well proof of this is 月が綺麗ですね | tsuki ga kirei desu ne (The moon is beautiful, isn't it?) The phrase above doesn't literally mean “the moon is beautiful, isn't it?” in Japanese. It actually means “I love you". At the time, Japanese people were more reserved than they are at present day. They hesitated to express feelings of love directly

This is my favorite movie of all time. I watched A Silent Voice for the first time nine months ago, and fell instantly in love with it. I then got the DVD four days later. Since then, I have watched it 25 more times, including last night. I think it's without question one of the best movies ever made. It is a very beautiful film, and I think everyone should experience this masterpiece once in their lifetime. I'm going to love and cherish it for as long as I live.
