Nice! Fun car for sure I bet! I had the chance to drive a manual pre LP. But the clutch was slipping so bad, I couldn't even move the car. In 1st gear with the clutch fully out it just idled. Other than that I bet it's fun. Probably similar to my brothers manual R8

Definitely agree with the 'don't want to drive it all the time' sentiment. I see my gallardo as a zip code car; it's so loud and rough that I don't take it out with my wife during weekends, we have much more comfortable cars to use...that's why I've only put 3k miles on it in 1 year lol

They seem pretty solid overall. Just with the age you might see more things wearing out and a bit more expensive repairs since it's more Lamborghini vs Audi. But a well maintained one should be pretty trouble free
The only thing I still worry about with even 2009+ up is the eGear (granted if you dont have a gated version) I hear the Huracan's are much more reliable when it comes to a comparison between the 2009+ gallardos. Thoughts?
Overall the Huracan is a bulletproof car. Gallardos are pretty solid. The E-Gear for the most part is reliable on the 2009+ cars. Clutch life is about 40k-50k miles depending on driving habits and the E-Gear hydraulic pump would be the thing to wear out outside of the clutch. I hardly see people have that issue pop up though with these. And a clutch job is about $5k. My car at 17k miles had a clutch inspection and it was at 70% life remaining. So These are pretty solid overall and don't need too much more attention than the Huracan
I purchased an 04 because it is a 20byear old classic italian super car * hands down the best bang 4 your $. Maybe I'll be wrong but in a world of hybrid and EV supercars I see values rising in years 2 come on tje NA cars. Nothing screams quit like a straight piped 5.0 V10 🎶🎵

I used to have a 2004 Gallardo. I am starting to look at buying an lp560-4 like yours. Should I avoid the 2009 year since it is the first year? And seems like prices have been softening do you think they will slowly get back to the prices they were before covid?
I don't think a 2009 would be bad. Only some slight changes after 09. With how much more the Huracan and then EVO/Tecnica got. I don't see the Gallardos dipping lower than where they are now. I've been watching the market enthuse for probably 10 years. My car at its lowest would have been around $115k, and then I bought it for $135k. I doubt they will get back to the lower range with good condition and low miles

First, to correct you, the last Gallardo left the assembly line on 25 November 2013. Hence, it is 2013, not a 2014. 2014 was the introduction year of the Huracan.
Yes production ended in 2013. However the last batch of cars are 2014 model year vehicles at least in the USA. The Huracan started production as a 2015 model year.

Work towards your goals and enjoy what you have. I spent 18 years saving up to buy this car. So just depends on what you want and what you chose to spend you money on. I pack a lunch every day, have an old cell phone, only drink water, and all my clothes are off the clearance rack. Doing that for nearly two decades adds up and made this car no big deal. So just do what works for you ;)
Yeah whatever works for you! My brother loves his R8. Great car. However both cars hold their respective values. So either car you'd buy, can always sell it for what you paid. So it's not really a difference in spending money. It's just putting money in the car during your ownership or having money elsewhere for other things. The G was my childhood dream car, so I wasn't too concerned about the price. It fit buy budget and my taste perfect.
I wouldn't say it's 5 times better....I'd much rather have the reliability, McLaren's are known for being expensive to repair and not reliable. Very happy with my Lambo.

I just bought at 2013 Gallardo. You can definitely tell its a supercar. Adding this it is a classic is also very fitting.

No carbon ceramics on mine. I think only the Superleggera, Squadra Corsa and other 'lightweight' version got those brakes standard.

I get about 18 on average. Not too bad. Can get 22 on the highway if I'm cruising and if I'm driving more aggrieve around town it's about 13.

I wouldn't say it's 5 times better....I'd much rather have the reliability, McLaren's are known for being expensive to repair and not reliable. Very happy with my Lambo.
