I like the idea of the timebar but the final product is not what I was looking for. As a Slate bar there are just too many limitations. No color options, no tails, no app to capture data and notes. And asking for other companies to create a slate for them vs putting in just a little bit of work into designing one of their own just ends the fail. Why are they making me go to Deity???
After seeing this slate, I’m going to jump ship to Deity. I trust Tentacle products more than Deity but Deity are making products that fits my workflow much better. That Tentacle slate looks like it would be in a first year film school student kit
@@SkylarVSmithYeah the timebar more resembles a DIY project that someone might make using a Raspberry Pi. It’s like they’re putting it out there and saying, “Find something to do with this.”
I walk black what I said about jumping ship. They did an amazing update to their Apple Watch app. I’d much prefer being able to run, stop, sync, and monitor from my Apple Watch Ultra than having a timecode slate. The app saves me from having to buy another monitor and being able to monitor audio from my wrist is so handy for my one man band workflow.
They need to make a real slate, this is an absolute joke, even the tentacle representative seemed mad we have been asking for a slate. Just make one! you are the leader for timecode right now! Why not keep your reign and make good products?

I love tentacle products, this slate looks horrible. I hope they hold off to make a proper timecode slate. I don’t see a reason to ruse.
