This song doesn’t fail to move me, but Björk’s performance here is just making me emotional because of how far she has since come. I’m so grateful grapefruit that she has stayed true to herself always. Her music has not only inspired the way I enjoyed new kinds of art; she has opened up new ways to for me to see the world. Science, geography, human connection and disconnection. All because I found her videos on UA-cam in 2006. Her songs continue to make sense more and more as I grow. You just cannot compare her to anyone. Thank you Björk!!!
@@nicparker3809 I don't understand the point of doing anybody who's got the balls to get up there and try..... Especially if they're touring with her, that must mean that she sees something in them......
i have never seen Bjork look so nervous or emotional at the start of a song like she is during the first verse here... that doesn't detract from the fact that this was a truly wonderful performance i remember watching it live like it was yesterday...what a true professional stunning artist ... I love you Bjork xxx
Exactly, I immediately felt like she had a really tough day before this show..never saw her like this..but she brings it and channels..made it into a really compelling version of a super hard song to do live..more respect
The fact that she uses her own emotions as an instrument to her music makes her music unique. I always get so into her music, basically puts me into a trance. I think that’s the major distinction between her and other performers who rely on their skill and talent. It’s not a bad thing for those who use their skills, but man, when you use your emotions, it’s more authentic.
She's so intense. Her movement, and body language screams with emotion, and expression. She's one of the most uninhibited, and sincere artist I've seen. She's almost like a child, which I guess, is an uninhibited adult. I love 3:55, to 4:05. She does the squishy thing with her hands, and sticks her tongue out. I know some people that are hearing impaired. They use body language to express everything. So, their hands, faces, and bodies can express complex emotions, states of mind, and language. It's quite interesting. They seem to be a little less inhibited than us hearing folk. Bjork seems to have a similar trait. Of course I don't know Bjork, so it could all be an act, but I think it looks pretty legit. (inserts the "what I would give/do to be Bjorks man" comment here)
Is so creepy how man feel the need to take women they admire as "their women", is like every talent someone have is reduce to a dowry and the only for of admiration to the opposite sex is sexual domination 🤮
She is so beautiful. She makes me cry. If you just know, how much I regret for not coming to her perfomance in my town...Why didn't I buy a ticket? Where was my mind? Don't make such a mistake!
Анастасия СмотрюВидео I almost cried when I first heard this song and wondered why so I listened to it alone and balled... idk why, she just strikes chords with ppl
Hey , from Finland. Björk, I just love you. When you have a feeling , just to be free, and just be just YOU. HERE is place to you. No paparazzis in here..
This is the song that always brings me to tears. The lyrics matched with the happy emotion she sings with and with the string instruments and techno instruments and ending to the song just make it so amazing.
That literally took my breath away and made my heart skip a couple of beats. I am a real fan of Bjork, but this performance shocked "ME" because I was I did not expect it to be so beautiful, and I am a bit ashamed to have thought anything like that about anything that Bjork does. Absolutely marvelous performance from one of the greatest female performers of all time.
I've always thought of this performance to be one of my favourites of hers. It's the only live performance to actually make me cry and I don't why it brings me to tears.
Check out her performance of Hyperballad at the Tibetan Freedom Concert, I think it's far superior to any, there are a few different captures of the same performance, as well as the full set from that show which I recommend, but you decide.
a true artist in this times! Always a pleasure to listen her music! Bjork, you are a eccentric angel! So glad that the world has you too, for healing souls! Love!
Its beyond words. A masterpiece that lives in eternity . I study this song for hints to her genius even though i know her voice is the heart of all her majic I cant help it. One thing I learned about the music is how the arrangment she created holds a single note or chord in several places for near eternity which is really unusual thing for a song to do but it creates this wild tension as she sails freely around it in her own time and strangely relatable and beautifully human tense narrative (will she jump or fall from the cliff ?) before she releases us all and backs away , suddenly moving the song into her chorus 'I go to this...!!'
hahahaha gotta love the ARIGATOU at the end. But my god I have this song on my mp3 player and I listen to it here and there...but when I listened to this live version...and was watching Bjork I couldn't help but just jump up and down like her. This song is just sooo magical.
Her vocal talent is beyond amazing - otherwordly. I love trying to sing along to this the way she does. Even whispering, my throat can barely handle the gyrations and ends up being sore.
This is pure talent, this is what music and lyrics are..this is what an artist is...Bjork writes/composes/organizes/engineers..and the list goes on...none of this playback lip syncing stuff that has become popular at the end of the 90s..that more than half the artists in the industry do..that shouldn't even be famous or be called artists, seeing as they don't even do anything..just pay people off to write/compose/create for them.I'm not going to drop names but everyone knows who I'm speaking of
Gracias bjork! Gracias por existir y regalarnos tu música. .
I don't even know what the fuck reggaeton is but that was so out of left field... Out of all the music genres out there you randomly pick that one to hate on and compare to this? Weird lol
The only flower that grows in the ice
Beautiful comment xo
In fact, her name means a wonderful tree, the betula.
Definitely a beautiful comment.
komen yang sangat indah.... matur suksma

This is one of the most wonderful songs ever made. Makes my soul glad.
It really is..... This shit is literally still ahead of its time even now and that's just insane to me....

Oh, I agree. Truly joyful!
It’s one of the most beautifully human things I’ve ever heard. It hits that “so beautiful it hurts” place

she is really amazing live. Just don't boo the pre act she got super pissed but they sucked sorry .. We are rude Americans.. I was really High....
Consistently as good as or better than the track. But never quite the same :)
Cause she never use any effects on her song :)

AMAZING!!!!! SHE COULD SING INSTRUCTIONS TO BUILD A 350 TRUCK ENGINE AND IT STILL SOUND AMAZING !!!! EVERYTHING SHE'S EVER DID WAS JUST A MASTERPIECE
rob zombie Well she did fix an engine with a diamond that came out of her mouth so it isn't entirely out of the question. ;-p
robberblood lol that was like the only video she ever did where like the video didn't relate with bjorks lyrics but that is my opinion:)
your caps lock is stuck
Weird seeing rob zombie in a bjork comment section
She sang machine sounds in Cvalda. Still sound amazing tho

How is possible this song doesnt have a billion likes? Been bringing me to joy-tears every time I hear it for nearly a quarter of a century.
this song provides a complexity of emotion that isn’t seen very often. Good art.
Isn't it avant garde-esque human deepness??? It's incredible
It's crazy to watch this in 2024 and realize she performed this song without any kind of In Ear Monitoring system!!! talk about talent!
that's a real singer!!no lipsync.she's so cute!cant believe it's been 30 years listening to Bjork!and she plays instruments!

Of all the live versions of Hyperballad, I think this is the best one…and yes, I’ve seen them all ; )
Even better than the Jools Holland show performance? This one is the best I’ve seen since that one.

She's like a goddess but still so approachable and vulnerable.
Bjork has it all! beats, instrumentals, and an accordion! What a genuis! Beautiful and talented human being!
