It's so much better when the people working in a company that sells wheelchairs also ARE in a wheelchair. Nobody can understand wheelchairs better than a wheelchair user. For the past 20 years I had wheelchairs from a company where the technicians are able bodied but I decided to get my new wheelchair from a company that's run by wheecĺchair users and it's SO much better!
I love the show room. That is something we do not have here in my part of Canada. I am currently in the process of getting a new chair. I had to contact my area Medical Rep and request which chair I want to try. It could take weeks, months to get one because some one else could be trying it out. It's a very long process here. Very happy for you. Let us know how you like your new chair.
Apparently Sunrise Medical doesn't have a showroom in Belgium, so they send demo chairs from the Netherlands... I've been trying to get a demo Nitrum for 3 months, they finally sent a Nitrum Hybrid to my local wheelchair dealer, but they don't want to send a "standard" Nitrum. They just told me "the only difference is the Hybrid has more tubes" !! But the frame looks completely different, and it's also different to carry it in your car ! As you said in you video, we have to see it with our own eyes to make the right decision. I'm disappointed Sunrise doesn't understand that for their customers in Belgium. :( I don't feel confident in spending 4000€ for a new wheelchair if I've never seen it for real, not necessarily with all the different options but at least one model. I used to go to big events like Rehacare but they've been cancelled for 2 years...
