I love how these videos are actually you browsing/shopping for the vast majority of it! I get frustrated by the amount of "come book shopping with me" vlogs that are 3 minutes of book shopping and 15 minutes of them talking afterwards about what they bought. Your videos area borderline ASMR quality for me because they feel cozy and also let me feel like I'm out at the bookstore with you.

First video of yours I watched (& now subscribed). Airport bookstores are so underrated. I was stuck from a "mechanical failure" overnight in Chicago last fall. Found so many Full bookstores. I shopped as many as I could find in the terminal and chatted authors with the sales girl. Found some great new authors and wonderful book recs. I also had my kids with me. Needless to say we had heavy bags by the time we finally got home .

@tiachu I remember Butcher and the Wren just came out so I purchased that (I listen to the Morbid podcast), then picked up a book by Ann Rule. That's when the cashier pointed out her daughter Leslie Rule. I never read either of their writing before, but know their name from true crime so we chatted true crime. I picked up James Patterson, another short romance, and some self-help (I think. I can't find it on my shelf now so I may have just not liked it). Several books for my children (some to read, color, or activities. A good variety because we were stuck in the airport for almost 2 full days).

I feel like Heroes of Olympus wasn’t written all that well..? But for sure the last book in the series. The Kane chronicles is good! Magnus Chase has the same writing style as PJO so it was great! Trials of Apollo also was great!

i read the poppy war 2 years ago and i thought it was good so i bought the second book but i haven’t been interested to read it? i wanna finish the series bc i have fomo but i’m also not invested enough 😩

the lifeguards taking place in austin is making me wanna read it bc i went to austin last year and absolutely loved it and plan on moving there in the future so i wanna read a book set there 👀
last year i started the first book in the heroes of olympus series and got like 130 pages in and i soft dnf’d it bc i wasn’t really vibing with or invested in the story :/ i do plan on revisiting it in the future though, i just wasn’t in the mood for it at the time. but the percy jackson series will always hold a special place in my heart i love those books so so so much i reread them regularly
OMGG, honestly I think if you read it 2 years ago, it’s too mentally/emotionally exhausting to continue it if you’re not in the mood LOL. BUT I WILL SAY if you ever AREEE in the mood, it’s actually insane. It’s so good - the story the characters the writing. but I am EXHAUSTED and can’t put it down but also can’t wait to be done w it LOL
