Yeah, BUT my Aunty, who has had a baby, was bitten by a huntsman, and the pain was the worst and longest 3 seconds, OF HER LIFE....
AND don't forget the bloody bustards jump on you and ARE fast runners.... NOT COOL....
I'd rather deal with a snake than a spider irrespective of size.
That being said, of all our spiders, I think, tbh IF I HAD to HAVE a SPIDER ON ME....the REDBACK would be my choice, they're NOT aggressive per sè, (even though Ive been bitten by the bastards 3 times, my hubby once), they're not fast like the bloody huntsman. 😱

Huntsman spiders are frightening in appearance, totally harmless [shy and skittish], but are beneficial when it comes to keeping various insects [like mozzies] away.

There have been terrible misjustices inflicted on some in the past and we have learned from this. Unfortunately, there is a small section of our fortunate community who believe they have been “wronged” and want recompence. There have been been 50+ years since Gough Whitlam yet the politicians we Australians have charged with the responsibility of serving us are still FAILING TO DELIVER SOLUTIONS. Grüße aus Australien. Ryan, All Australian prescriptions show the normal Full Price of the script. What you don’t see is on the Left side of the label which shows the Pharmacy price to the patient. Usually around $32.50. Pensioner s get scripts for $6.30 ( up to $7.80. Looks like someone is making meds look expensive. Recently I had Covid and only paid .$6.30 but the FULL PRICE WAS $932. A stage n PA, come up on stage, shake their hand, and a fancy piece of paper (the actual citizenship papers were formal that came in the mail, but if you wanted a certificate to hang on the wall or something, you could opt in). volunteers put on morning tea with all the stereotypical aussie baked goods, proceeds to charity. It was all the Nanas old traditional recipes, big pot of strong tea. not sure how other places did it, or how it goes nowdays, this was like, 30 years ago. That medication would never be on the PBS ( the prescription benefits scheme ) that the government subsidises. This medication shown is used to quit smoking . So the company and the pharmacy can charge what ever. Most PBS meds are under $10 - the Aussie government subsidises thousands of drugs and they have a threshold that if you are on benefits once you reach usually $1000 bucks for the year those medications are free.

My grandparents house was built in the 1930's as were the rest of the houses in the suburb outside the north of the capital city Perth. When my grandparents bought it everybody said "Why live way out in the bush?" Now it is considered almost an inner city suburb Such old 12 ft high art deco corniced ceilinged houses and leafy streets ard gardens are now considered quaint and gorgeous.
A lot still have the old dunny out the back and a modern toilet in the bathroom where the walk in shower used to be. A modern shower over the bath with the old bath tap plumbing still in place. My nanna and grandad and their kids, had to deal with sand, snakes, redbacks and frogs and big native bush rats from the local wetlands when going to the outside dunny every night. Nanna refused to get a " filthy " toilet in the house until the 1970's. They also had a pet kangaroo living in the yard and house with them until it bounded through the closed front glass door to greet an old family friend. Then he was sert to a friendly farm.

Irrespective, why destroy it? We're now a VERY multicultural country.
Even our black (majority) fellas are whiter than me - of Scandinavian heritage, wouldn't be here if they didn't have a white fella aspect in their DNA, so essentially theyre protesting the atrocities of their forefathers as well, not just the the white fellas...
Ruddy apologised, it's a case of why should WE ALL, First Nations, Black Fellas, White Fellas, Asians, Africans, Indians, Europeans etc be punished for what happened by none of us, and the hypocrisy of the "black first nation white fella" is just mind boggling....
I'm indigenous to this land as I was born here.
We have literally only a handful of TRUE Aboriginal people, and they are honestly the most beautiful people to have the honour to know.
I feel for the white black fellas or the black white fellas, whatever your preference aka the ones who wouldn't be here if they weren't of mixed culture....
Reason? Many (as someone who grew up with them in WA) are shunned by BOTH their tribal and white origins...
The actual full and remote Aboriginal community have no time nor respect for their whitened down people.... Why? The trouble that's caused....
Our tribal Elders don't have like being slighted and put in the same category, they want to live their lives in peace.
I have SO much respect for them and am ashamed at what their white/black fella (watered down) people put them through....
The full Aboriginals are absolutely beautiful, would give their shirts off their backs; give you help, unite IRRESPECTIVE of your personal background.....
The people with Aboriginal in them NEED to embrace BOTH sides of their genealogy, bot sides have persecution and a use BUT ALSO many beautiful qualities.....
At the end of the day we ALL hurt, love, laugh, cry irrespective of the colour of our skin.....
Whatsmore on the autopsy table we're ALL exactly the same, flesh and blood......
Love unites, hate divides. Acceptance, Tolerance and most IMPORTANTLY, RESPECT IS A MUST.....

Also I think the govt must start looking at all those empty offices in central Sydney. The idea that staff only need to go in say, one day a week is just ludicrous. They could use the space better or do more share spaces, say different Companies use offices on allocated days per week. Just some thoughts really…. It’s a massive problem. Sorry this is so long, but I watched a program on Venice and it said that many people especially from the US, and “rich” Russians go there for a holiday, love it, so decide to buy an apartment and then hardly visit at all. 11:03 There's not a million empty houses. People just don't know what the census data means, it just means it was empty on census night. That means people could be away for the night / travelling / didn't respond to the census / the place was in between tenants / had just settled for sale / put up for sale / was in an extremely remote area / may not have even been habitable / are short term rental houses in holiday area etc. There's lots of reasons, so amazingly rich they can afford to keep it empty is going to be 0.00001% of the empty houses, and they're not going to budge for tens of thousands since that's already a fraction of what they're giving up by leaving the handful of places actually empty, empty.

3:19 Those “cookies” are called ANZAC* biscuits. In WW2 our soldiers were running out of supplies & they made field rations with what they had. It was so tasty that they kept making them at home after the war. We eat them every ANZAC Day. ANZAC Day (on the 25th of April) is our day of remembrance for all the fallen soldiers & and a time to pay respects to the few survivors who are still around. Many of us get up extremely early to hold a moment of silence for our fallen at gatherings holding a candle. During lockdown we stood in our driveways and you could see candlelight flickering up & down the suburban streets, across the nation. 11:25 we had a boarder for a while until the landlord got shirty about it. He was adopted as family beforehand & I miss him since he moved out but we do get to see him every few weeks

Doing that, the new owner doesn't have to pay the empty house tax and they also don't have to worry about squatters. The empty house tax should be extended to people who had a house on ther property, pulled it down, and then don't build within a specified time.
