What makes Wei Ying's suffering hit me so hard is the fact that MDZS was written describing the events surrounding him. As for HC and LBH, I can understand they suffered just as much (even more in HC's case), but their POVs weren't well shown as much as Wei Ying's was. Which is why I cry the most for Wei Ying out of these three. It pains me a lot as to how alone he was throughout his journey until the end where LWJ finally took action to let him know that he's not.
