I started listening to Hawaiian music through Playing for Change shortly after my second cancer diagnosis . This beautiful peaceful and yet strong music has helped me deal with the days when life gets rocky . It helps bring me back to a peaceful place and allows me to continue on and enjoy life . Thank You and Aloha .
I find Hawaiian music soothing to the soul. Listening to their music to remember those lost this week and sending love from Florida to all those that lost loved ones.
Hawaiian is such a beautiful language. I shake my head in thinking it was banned in school in the past. We should all be proud of our heritage and especially our language, This song was written by Queen Liliuokalani in 1887. She was just a young girl travelling with Queen Kapiolani to the jubilee celebration or Queen Victoria's 50th year of reign in England.
You have lots of company. A mystical place with inspirational music, waves, trees, food, and aloha spirit. Too bad the average person can't afford a small bungalow. ;-(
A gift more precious than gold. Aloha, respect, and friendship wrapped in glorious music and presented in poetic imagery. How great a ho'okupu to give to one's friend and fellow mo'i. What a wonderful gift to her people.

Mahalo, Weldon! This song is unmatched in its lyric, melody, and harmony. Incredible musicianship. My favorite of not only Hawaiian Monarchs, but of all historical and humanitarian icons: Queen Lili'u'okalani. I love and admire everything about her. Brilliant. Talented. Curious. Majestic yet so personable. Witty. Funny. Charming. Poet. Composer. Author. World Traveler. Diplomat. Ambassador. Unfairly Imprisoned. Beautiful. Graceful. Dignified. Proud. Listen to Bobby Moderow's milk-and-honey sweet version of Queen Lili'u'okalani's humorous and hauntingly melodic song, "Sanoe". What is it about you Honolulu Boys Choir alums-- your voices are silky smooth and so enchanting! Mahalo, mahalo, MAHALO!

I shed tears as I listen to this song that these 3guys. I just hope that people in the world to know this song for Hawai’ian history. I really love this song. I really want to perform this song in Japan or Hawaii for introducing it and showing respect to Queen Liliuokalani, all Hawaiian people and Weldon 3 guys band with my vocal and playing the bass guitar. So I have been looking for the guitarists who can play with me for a long time but I haven't yet... Unfortunately, this song doesn't well-known in Japan and most people in Japan are not interested in Hawaiian history even though they prefer Hawaiian style or Hawaiian taste. so sad.. but no matter what it takes, I definitely will perform this song in the future! Thank you for posting this! I will play this song someday! I’d love to! I need to! Is there anyone who wants to play with me?
To make a video like this in a living room is genius! Perfect sound engineering, lighting, and camera work. The songs themselves are too beautiful. You don't need outrageous makeup, costumes, or confetti launchers to make wonderful music. You just have to be Hawaiian with a deep understanding and appreciation for the music, the people and the culture. Mahalo, Weldon. Mahalo!

All hail to you, Great Queen of England
Fair Queen who rules over land and sea
From northern seas to southern shores
Your way is known both far and near
We come to your shores, gracious lady
On this great day of your Jubilee
To bring kind greetings from afar
May heaven bless you, long may you reign
All hail, all hail, Empress of India
In this your year of Jubilee
Now kings, queens and princes great
Have all assembled here today
To pay due homage and reverent love

May Heaven smile on you
God bless the Queen, long may she live
