As a 1964 graduate with a BSc in Journalism and Communications I heard this message and it reached deep in my heart. For one particular job I spent time in Jonesboro, Arkansas and saw how low the plants were -- how backbreaking the picking had to be, and wrote some poems. I think being an undergraduate at a large well-run state University opens up avenues that show the importance of working "together" regardless of race, religion or creed. Chancellor may you and yours be well and Happy Holidays!

This message of the devastation of a crop, yet your family came together to truly make this holiday what it is all about, resonates with this farm girl and the many lean Christmases we had, but my parents made sure to provide what counts during that time.
