When I lived in New Jersey there was an alpaca farm around the corner. Keeping in mind the if I left my house and turned right at every intersect until I was back home it was about a 3 1/2 mile walk. Alpaca are sweet lovely animals. The have gorgeous round eyes with long lashes. When they look at you they melt your heart and they love to cuddle. The people in the area adopted the alpacas and that allowed them to bring their children to socialize and give the alpacas attention. It was wonderful. The public was always welcome on the weekends. It was a small farm. The adoption arrangement was mostly an education program to teach the children about the alpacas and how to care for them. They called it an adoption but it was a nominal fee that most people could afford and the alpacas lived at the farm. It was a beautiful thing to see the love, pride and respect the children enjoyed in taking care of their alpaca. It was a small town with about 600 kids. There were about 20 alpacas in the farm. Their main business was sheep. The alpacas were a community service and a win win for everyone. I'm certain the farm made no money on the alpacas. As the children were supervised by farm workers at all times.
I really love watching your process and I really like hearing your thoughts while you are making art. Thank you. Hope things in your family are doing better.
Oh Shel he is gorgeous. The squiggly papers seem to bring him out further. I’d love to have a cute Alpaca like this fellow. Travel safely on your trip. I hope it is successful.
Shel I Love this and I think you did a brilliant job.Especially when you went away feeling it was not working and you did not give up,but came back and finished it.It looks fabulous.I do that too many a time in the pencil stage of my drawings and then it finally look like it is right I ink it up.It shows others who are just beginning on their journey to perceiver and not to give up. It is surprising what a break and a fresh pair of eyes can do .Love n Lighr 🥰

What a great program :) I am glad the kids got to see and take care of a large animal. So many never have that opportunity of learning.

I really appreciate all the planning ahead you do before you travel. I had to plan a months activities at my club before I left. I hate doing that.
