Awesome video. To all the people arguing with this you do not understand that the true worship of the Goddess is manifesting her within your own mind and body. To you all she is only a mere idol. For they live with me and manifest themselves as primordial energies that I witness and understand. Then as I worship it becomes a living experience. I may be American however I have lived in India and studied this culture for the past 20 years. I am from West Bengal. When ever I think of me as a bengali Ma Durga and her sons and daughters comes to my mind. It feels like a blessing to be born in such a culture.

See guys, I agree with you, but here by the name Durga, We are actually identifying that Devi as Adiparashakti, the Supreme Primordial Goddess, who is also the Vimarsha Shakti of Parameshwara. She has completely manifested many times in this Mortal World, Once as the fruit of Daksha's Severe penance as Sati, then as the Divine boon for Himavanta and Meenaka as Parvati, to Protect the world She appeared as Katyayani, the daughter of maharishi KAtyayan, as Malayadhwaja's Putri Meenakshi, there are so many Purnavataras or complete manifestations of Shri Uma Brahmavidya. , similarly, there are numerous leelaMurthys too, like Annapurna, Lalita, Kamakshi, the Ten Mhavidyas, etc. But calling Devi Durga as Brahma's Daughter is not appropriate, it is rather misleading, as She was Sati who took birth in Brahma's lineage, she has a certain form i.e swarupam and attributes totally different from the swarupam of Durga, that's why there are different swarupams for the different forms of devi. Though Devi Sati and Devi Durga are the same person, same tatwa, but in Leelabheda differences are there.

Not only in East India but in uttrakhand and Himachal which is known to be the mait or 'maika' of devi they refer her to as dhyani means daughter and not as mother...
Even there in every 12 year devi s marriage is celebrated during Durga Puja

I am an american, and I first got into some hindu mythology when Ganesha came to me in a dream back in 2015. I researched him and learned he was a God. I later got into Vedic astrology thanks to my husband who is a Vedic astrologer. The mythology of the Nashaktras and their deities were prominent, and then some Goddesses came to me. Saraswati, then Lakshmi, and now Durga.
Each time a new God or Goddess comes to me, great lessons and transformations follow.

Devi is self made no one can give birth to her NO ONE .
Exactly. She is Swayambhu. But not like Lord Shiva and Vishnu. She is the embodiment of Brahman, as per Scriptures which associate goddess Durga with Brahman directly; such holy texts are Devi Mahatmyam, Shrimad Devi Bhagvatam, Devi Gita, Markandeya Purana, among others. All deities, including the Trimurti, were all created by Brahman. They are Brahman's sons and daughters.
But if we look at the texts I mentionned previously, we can see that goddess Durga is the direct embodiment of Brahman itself (itself because Brahman is believed to be gender neutral). She is not CREATED! She is CONCEPTUALIZED! Durga represents the energy or Shakti with which Brahman created all the other deities. All the deities fusioned their inner 'Shaktiyaan' ('Shaktiyaan' is the original hindi word for the plural form of Shakti, which is singular. As each deity has individual Shakti, I am terming it as singular as it belongs to only one deity. Now, the number of individual Shakti would be called as 'Shaktiyaan' as it is several units of an individual Shakti. When all 'Shaktiyaan' fusion to become one Shakti again [all the 'Shaktiyaan' merged into a singular unit of Shakti again]) to conceptualize , that is, for Brahman's identity-deprived aspect to manifest itself into such a medium which posesses an identity as a Goddess.
The other deities were already created with identities. While creating them, Brahman already had established its relationship with the identities it was going to create. That is why, all the deities are its sons and daughters.
Durga, however, if taken into the previous perspective of Durga-oriented idolatry (idolatry means to associate directly a deity as being Brahman itself) is Brahman himself.
Now, if taken on a more neutral ground, goddess Durga is the Shakti which manifests herself when deities fusion their combined individual 'Shaktiyaan' as a singular unit. She is not created! She is made to appear! Conceptualized means to give an identity to an already existing thing, here being, Shakti. Shakti is energy. Energy without a medium to represent it. Durga, thus, become a medium to represent Shakti.
Here, she is not directly associated to Brahman.
She might not have been already thought to be like who she is, in terms of identity. There is one thing that all accounts of goddess Durga's conception stress considerably, which is that the deities were flabbergasted at her intense and strong personality. So, this leads me to think that goddess Durga is the only one to decide which identity she would assume as a goddess.

Durga is also said to be Kumari. Durga's gayatri mantra states Katyayani Vidmahe Kanyakumari Dheemahi Tanno Durgee prachodyat. So she is a virgin Goddess who in later times gets associated with Parvati Shiva's consort. In Bengal when I see Durga idols flanked by Lakshmi and Saraswati I feel it is an inspiration from Godddess Lalitha's idol. Where Goddess Lalitha or Sodashi is described to be served by Lakshmi and Saraswati.

you are wrong at point that Maa Durga is Bramha's daughter. In Devi Mahamatma it is clearly written , Bramha is her son, that Goddess has no birth, no death, she is the supreme Bramhan.

The author has already explained that “Brahma” in this narrative refers to “Daksha”, the father of Devi Sati. Hence Devi becomes his daughter in this sense as she is Dakshayani, although it is agreed upon in Shakta Literature that the deity Lord Brahma is her foremost devotee.

The word gimel is related to gemul, which means 'justified repayment', or the giving of reward and punishment. Gimel is also one of the seven letters which receive special crowns, called tagin.
The foot of the camel, a toe, does bring out the desire in the man, Vav is the Hook and Yud the hand
This seem to fit with both Kali and Gauri, changing the C(Kali) to the G(Gauri).
