There is no need to remove the fuel tank. The pump can be remove from inside the car. @Athos Musketeer: You will need a 12mm wrench to remove the bolts (don't try with a screwdriver, even if there is a Phillips hole on the bolts, it will not work, they are too thighten and you will damage them)
Today I needed this information as I think my fuel pump hoses need replacing due to the condition being old and cracks coming up, I was advised to have them changed just in case.
Many thanks for the info. I own an 18 year old Micra K11 1.0 CG10DE. The fuel pump is still the original one when I bought it new and the pump is still running. I need to replace it before goes kaputt. Cheers.
It's a 1995 Nissan Micra. The back seat (bottom part) is anchored by four bolts. Two on the front and two at the back. But you'll need to take the top one off first. It's very easy.

Nice informative video. Can't you just pull the above from above as oppose to dismantling the fuel tank?
Tank was very dirty. Old fuel and a rusty old pump. Had to make sure it's clean before I'd put a new one in.
Buy new one best

It wasn't running when I bought it. It had two problems. The fuel pump and throttle body(common issue on micra).
Adjust the throttle to idle higher. If it's too high, then you have a throttle body issue.
Running the car on the road. I could only get max speed 25 km/hr on a weak fuel pump. Car shakes and struggles to go higher.
God bless you, bro
