  • The Virginia High School League (VHSL) determined that Hayfield Secondary School’s principal, football coach, and athletic director misled the league about student transfers and did so to cover up their recruitment of 14 transfers from Freedom High School, according to court documents.
The league said Hayfield’s football team, bolstered by the transfers, completed its season with nine wins and one loss, defeating eight teams by a combined score of 500-13.

    This isn't the first time.

Ridiculous biased reporting. A coverup? They didn’t even have those players until halfway into the season because they each had to go before a board to get cleared to play. No single player was used that was ineligible. How the hell does a 3-7 Robinson team find itself in the playoffs to begin with? Their season should have been over after the last regular season game.

The school deemed them eligible....hence the coverup. FCPS also did the initial investigation....
