Thanks again to Chuck and Stacey for letting me hang with them. I had so much fun talking about the vo biz! You guys have created a fantastic platform to help others! Thanks for the kind comments :-) Tim and Beau....you're gonna make me blush ;-)
@@vobuzzweekly, I've been watching Bill DeWees' videos for a few months and really take what he says to heart. He is so generous in his videos and I'd love to take a class with him sometime! Thank you for this video!
same! Bill's content has been amazing! I am literally locking myself in my room to learn more every day! I am saving for your mentor program, and can't wait to use my voice to help people connect with the products and services they are seeking! I am late to the game, but one of my goals is to appear on this youtube channel within 5 years! Thank you, Chuck and Stacy! you guys are amazing! I'm off to absorb more of your content!
That's straight up Bill DeWees right there. He knows his stuff, his strategies work, and he's just a super nice guy who has helped many of us in the VO industry succeed like crazy. Learn everything you can from Bill and follow through. It really works!
Excellent interview, Bill! Thanks for the awesome nuggets you let Chuck and Stacey share with the world...not to mention the shout out to Beau and I. You're the BEST at what you do!
This is a fantastic video, and everything Bill says is absolutely spot on. I used my background in sales to go from booking my very first paid voiceover gig in February of 2014 to making a modest five figure income, and still building a ton of momentum moving into 2015. I did that by marketing myself fearlessly, focusing on being a good communicator, and getting stuff in front of the right people. It can be done!
@@Penelope416 Wow, blast from the past. In the 7 years since that comment, I'm now represented by 12 different talent agencies and have been a working actor for a decade. Take the long-term view and build your foundation, and what you establish early will pay dividends for years to come. Good luck!
feels great seeing Bill DeWees on this awesome show! I feel like my "friend" just made it to the "big time" lol i got a very WARM feeling watching this! AWESOME!
pretty excited when i saw that Bill was going to be on buzz weekly. Very well deserved seat on the show. He helped me get going and I still learn from him. Cant wait for part 2!
Wow! Great episode. Make sure to watch for the role playing part on cold calling. Golden! And BTW, am I the only one to recognize that Bill DeWees looks like Jason Bateman?! No wonder we love him so much. Thanks for the episode.
it's general quarters every day and you have to man that .50 caliber telephone every doggone day, otherwise the enemy of procrastination will open a big can of woopass and you will never get anything done. Hooah.
Great video! I just learned about Bill from a gal in my acting class. I checked out his website and demos and was blown away by his talent! And now I get watch his UA-cam videos too! I'm excited to learn from him! :)
Great info, folks! People have been telling me for years that I have the voice for radio and TV work. I am currently an aircraft mechanic and flight instructor, looking to make a demo tape and get started. You people are very encouraging. Thank you!
I was wondering.. Maybe it's an idea to dedicate an issue on food?? As a newbie I hear about not eating dairy products 24 hrs before a recording/job. I try to watch my carbs so I eat a lot of dairy. Any tips on that issue?? Hope to hear from you!! 🤗
Greetings Chuck and Stacey from the Heartland of Iowa,I have followed Bill as well as you both for quite some time, this session was truly explosive, just finishing up my website with voiceactor websites(they are wonderful by the way)this was so timely. You both are always fueling my passion, so appreciate your efforts in bringing us Voicelings ever forward.

Happy Birthday Chuck!!!
15 agents...GOODNESS. I have two and I get more work than they do for me.
Incredible info!
Interesting video...
Bill was my intro to VO through his videos. This guy is the real deal, is passionate about this industry, and a great teacher!
*Mind blown* VO worlds collide. Two of the best resources for VO education on the net in the same room!
15 agents =
Oberon Pan Really depends on what genre of voice over. Commercial, animation and tv promos you need an agent. Narration and audiobook probably not. :)
