TOM'S rear under brace install w/ axleback removal
Вставка
- Опубліковано 5 вер 2024
- Installation of the Tom’s Racing rear body under brace. This replaces factory bracing for increased rigidity.
Included are steps for dropping the axleback for replacement of an Invidia titanium tipped axleback. This additionally provides additional clearance for the bracing installation.

Thanks for the video on that upgrade. Something I'll have to check into. I take it there were no problems with the Invidia gaskets this time. B 😎!
None whatsoever. The entire install went according to plan as well. That never happens lol
Doing god’s work my bro!
Trying man! ✊🏽
Great video
Thank you for watching! 🙏🏽
love to see it! keep it up!
Thanks for watching!
Very thorough install video! Have been looking into getting more bracing in addition to the front+rear strut bars and this video helped see what the installation process would be like. Have you noticed a difference in drivability with the brace? What about the sound difference between the stainless steel and titanium? I have the titanium version so am curious if there's any differences.
Keep up the great content!
Thanks for watching, happy to hear it helped you out.
I try my best to granularity introduce bracing to be sure to pinpoint characteristics of each addition. The top rear brace has a lot of dampening control that caused for the back to be loaded. I didn’t like that as you could feel the rear end loaded especially in turns. Too much tension caused for a bit of a bounce.
This was reduced with a more neutral dampening (not pushing or pulling).
Under brace made a great difference. Felt like it was a great compliment to the top brace. There was much better stability and felt “buttoned up” in corners.
This said, I highly recommend the top rear and rear underbracing paired.
I have the remaining rear cross bracing, middle, and front bracing to complete the set. I’ll try to make a video recapping the full set.
For the change, it was a bit louder probably only because it was newer and less carbon build up. Expect it to tone down to match very soon. Being it was just the tip and not the muffler/piping itself, there shouldn’t be any difference long term.
Any link for the Brace?
Mod in Japan has it along with a few other vendors.
